Actually.. it may well just be you. Or us, as the case may be.
Seems to be very much a closed shop but I suppose it depends on where you are exactly and also whether you're fortunate enough to be on good terms with someone to induct you into the (small) elite circle in your area.
From experience, I'd say you were wasting your time trying to meet with the majority of people who'll post open-ended "meet us somehere at such-and-such a day for x, y and z" offers. In addition, those who've made arrangements with me have broken every one. I've not actually come up against a single genuine couple/group yet.
