Weve read lots and lots of posts here and elsewhere about Police involvement in Dogging activities. Posts from doggers , couples and policemen alike .
Constantly the worry and tension produced by the very idea of police patrolling darkened car parks at night comes through , everyone seems VERY worried about any kind of police activity in these areas , and the concensus seems to be that when the poilce do so then all the fun is spoiled .
Id love to know in a sort of SH straw poll , how many of the thousands of members here have actually been arrested or charged with anything whilst in the process of dogging ? We wont count the police asking for your details , or giving you a producer , or even the odd search of a car ( all of which seem reasonable things to do , when a copper finds you inexplicably parked in an isolated spot at 1am , and you wont tell him why youre there). Now dont get me wrong anyone that knows me will tell you im no pillar of the community , but even i recognise that Plod have their job to do.
On this very site we have threads siting stories of , attempted , vandalism, armed robbery , intimidation and violence towards both gay and straight doggers and i have read detailed reports in the papers (the real ones) about at least two dogging sites that have used as a place to dump a body!
I could be wrong but my guess would be that any self respecting policeman would generally just ask you to move along and not come back during his shift , unless of course you insist on being arguamentative .
We as a couple would certainly rather risk the odd evenings dogging being cut short by a blue light drive by than have every car park a haven for violent criminals to do as they please.
Would love to hear of how many of you have been at the wrong end of the laws long arm as a direct result of dogging . Or is it just another example of the legendary paranoia and persecution complex generated by just way too much gossiping while waiting for a couple to turn up .
I've never been "harrassed" by the law.
I've been woken-up by them at various times and places, and they've always been models of politeness.
I've been stopped by them after driving OUT of a site, and asked why I was there.
When I said "looking for sex" they seemed a bit puzzled...so I said I was looking for a woman in a white van and they said if I gave them the reg they'd tell me if they'd seen it (as if)
I've no doubt at all that some have been the subject of attention, but many of those guys just ask for it.
Saying to any copper "what right have you got to question me" will soon lead to you finding out.
If you're a married guy out on the prowl you may like to ask yourself what you'd do if the law showed-up at your house to "confirm" your ID...or sent a letter to your house asking what you were doing at a red light district cruising about.
If they were not doing their job, many would moan at that...and moaning because they pull you at a car park is stupid...like it or not, car parks are magnets for the tosser element in society.
Look at how many rapes, robberies and assaults happen in car parks.
hi all..... i agree with jomu, on a recent trip to i was approached by the local police at about 1am the first thing i thought was shit what am i going to say to explain why im here! i thought what is the point in lying so i just bent the truth a little and said i was waiting for a lovely lass to turn up....he couldnt have been nicer he just said "be careful and have a good one, enjoy yourself" with a quick wink they drove out again. if that is being harrassed then thats ok by me, id rather be asked that a few times rather than the police not coming at all when im lying there after a nutter has said hello with his baseball bat, it was kind of reasuring knowing they are about.
by the way if anyone finds a couple of peugeot wheel trims on the chase they are mine damn speed bumps..lol

What no one !?
Perhaps we can all stop worrying then :-)
Hi first time poster.
Have been stopped once leaving a car park late at night. The police man asked where i had been and where i was going. As it was after another unsuccessfull dogging expedition i told them just stopped for pee. They did ask where i lived. Given that they had more than likely checked my car reg prior to pulling me, i told them the truth. You don''t want to be pulled for stealing your own car.
Have also been on in places when they have a done a circuit. It gets the heart racing i can tell yer, but if you are not doing anything wrong nothing to worry about apart from embarrassment.
Just what we thought then . No one nicked at all , so maybe the constant warnings about police activity are a waste of forum space .
