Any reason why my post regarding police activity at Scam Dam has been moved to the Warnings topic?
It was not a warning as such, more a request for further info.
I am not sure people are going to see my post 10 pages into a previous topic.

People are definatley going to read it if it is in the warnings section. Most of the regulars, the ones who could possibly offer you more help, are the ones who read the warnings, and know that they have already read the previous nine pages so would just go to the last post.
I understand what you mean when you say you are asking for information but surely that information would be better shared rather than be on a post that will fall off the page after a few days.
That is more than likely why your post has been moved, but it would have been better if you had read the site rules around posting which clearly say you should not name specific places on the open forum, If you had given a brief description of the place, anyone who did use would know where you were talking about, but as you have named the place you will find that it will now be full of boy racers, idiots, plonkers and not forgetting the boys in blue confused

It wasnt getting that way, it had got that way, which is why we stopped going and fond somewhere which had not been named on the forums lol
Not quite following, I was not organizing a meet. I was merely informing and asking for a response to a particular problem at a particular site.
In this case not naming the site would have been totally non productive.
Also if you are worried about publishing the site, as a dogging location, well have a look in Dogging Sites just to the left, every popular site in the UK is named most of them with directions.
I think it is fair to say that after scoops in the News of the Screw and also local press the site I mentioned is probably the most famous dogging site in the world (possibly with the exception of Stan Collymores fav spot)
I totally agree that when organizing a meet, not naming the specific site is very sensible. However when bringing peoples attention to possible problems, page 10 of a previous thread is not the place.
Before my message was moved, more than 70 people had viewed it, if one of those 70 had been planning to go to "the site" and did not as a result of seeing my post, and thus saved himself a ticking off from the police, then I think it is better placed in the main forum.
Someone just browsing for activity is not going to venture onto page 10 of a previous post.

But by naming the site, for whatever reason, you have brought it to the attention of all and sundry. You have alerted every Boy Racer and pervert that may have their own motives for visiting genuine Doggers there!!
You are right about the other sites being published on the site already, and after a while we realised this was a mistake. No sites have been added to that list for years, but it serves as a good tool in search engines. Most of the regular Doggers know to ignore that list now. confused :? :? :?
