I was, and still am, looking to try and get involved in the dogging scene, so after looking up a few sites around my area(Thetford Forest) on this forum I went to a few sites near to me and had a look on a weeknight last Thursday in fact, nothing much happening but for a few cars driving in and out of the place and a couple of single men parked up.
So I tried again the next day Friday and the two locations were positively humming with activity. One in particular must have had at least 20 cars there and people everywhere.
Being that I had no experience of anything like this before I found it a little to intimidating and left straight away, I am sure there must have been some action going on, and did see a couple pull up in a car as I was leaving, but with so many people about I couldnt bring myself to stay.
I guess if I want to become involved then I have got to get over this and get out of the car and walk about the site and talk to people. A little hard to take that first step but I am sure that unless I do then becoming involved is going to be somewhat difficult.
Anyway I will be trying again in the near future.
A lamb to the slaughter
only 20 cars, must have been early then....maybe not even midnight !
Eight couples !
One would be a crowd around here !
Still, your site is a bit remote from the "civilised" areas of Thetford....in this county there's always a house "just around the corner"....and this "neighbourhood curtain twitching watch" means that if the car ratio climbs much over one per 100 metres the law get a call...
Then there's the truckers, some of them complain they can't get to sleep with all the cars driving past....so they call the law for that too...and then they got slung out of the layby because they hadn't noticed the council sign " NO OVERNIGHT STOPS " ...what the laydogger calls an own goal ?
Mean while, back at el rancho.......................................
Trust me, unless you go dogging wearing a British Army uniform, you 'll be safe from "stray" american fire!
Andrew I was there that night and it was also my first time @ the mentioned site . I couldnt believe it either I normally go to sites in and around the p/boro area where you get a odd couple of cars and maybe some fun . But this was something else ! ,like you I was a bit worried about wandering around chatting to people ,but I thought what the hell ive travelled 40 miles the worst that can happen is the guys tell u to bugger off lol. But what a friendly bunch of people ,they made me feel welcome and were a pleasure to be around . I didnt get involved ,just watched what went on so I knew how things were done ,so maybe the next time I pop over I have an idea of what the couples like etc . So from a guy living on the lincs norfolk border I would like to thank everyone there that night for making me feel welcome ur spot on lads and ladies.
