This story is too funny to be a warning, but I guess it is really, so I'll tell you it here....

We went to one of the car parks at Entwistle last night. We arrived at about and when we got there there was a few cars including one with four young lads in it. Now any sane human would probably have left as soon as they saw these four - obviously not doggers and obviously looking for trouble, but we're not sane, so we decided to stick around, a. to see if they'd get bored and leave, and b. to see what they were up to.
We parked across from their car and could see each lad very clearly as they had their interior light on. It was very clear that they had weapons with them, including what looked like an iron bar :shock: :shock: :shock: . My guess is they were waiting to see if someone got out of a car and then they would follow them and do them over
. Therefore, we thought it would be fun to ring the police and let them be caught with weapons in their possession. However, my damn phone did no signal, so I couldn't dial out :doh:
..... but then, as if my magic, a cop car arrived at the scene...

However, they just had a quick look round the car park and then drove out again

....So we decided to follow the cop car and flag them down. They didn't seem to want to stop at first
, but they did eventually, and I told them very politely tht they should go back to the car park they had just been in and check out the four lads with the iron bar.... they promptly turned round and went back.... :lol: :lol: :lol:
We didn't go back to watch them search the lad's car, I hope they did.... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: But at least they didn't try to ask me any questions about what I was doing there in the first place - but seeing as I was dressed like a bit of a tart I bet they guessed that bit for themselves.... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
So, the upshot is.... there are nutters at Entwistle again.... :( :( :( , but it seems that although the police are patrolling there, they're not out to get doggers....

People who turn up mob handed with weapons like iron bars ARE trouble makers. Simply being in possession of such implements is a criminal offence - full stop. I'm a martial artist, I know what a weapon is classed as in law, thank you. If you think I am a grass for telling the police about a crime, so be it, your opinion is juvenile and not one that will help doggers in the long run. The police in that area are OBVIOUSLY not out to embarrass doggers or else they would have questioned everyone in the car park, especially me and my partner as we were both dressed like tarts and it was obvious we were there for sex. It is worth helping the police to "police" dogging locations - that way the nutters know they can't get away with anything. Nutters do what they do because they think doggers will not report trouble. It is time more doggers did report incidents they see - it is not doggers that are in the wrong, it is the nutters.
I would say that if anyone sees something similarat Entwistle (or anywhere else) in the future they should let the police know. Anyone who think's preventing a potentially violent crime is grassing is not someone I would like anywhere near me and my hubby on the odd occasions when we venture out.
Maybe he would change his opinion if one of those 4 'polite' young 'gentlemen' amused themselves with him and his vehicle next time he is out dogging.

Northumbria Police are running Operation Rodney (the plonkers) targetting boy races in South east Northumberland.
So far, so good, but they're focussing on the beach road between St Mary's and Blyth as well as some car parks in Cramlington. they've ticketed a couple of dozen Rodneys so far, but they'll be around for the next month; radar traps, producers being handed out like lawyers cards ata bus crach, you can imagine the scene...
So if they clear the boy racers away in time for the dark nights we'll all be happy....

I don't mean this to sound racist in any way, but I presume that these people are gangs of angry white youths, who seem to be on the lookout for a target to bully?
The reason I mention this is that from the posts above (especially the "dog hunter" who uses NF fronm his avatar) I get the impression that these gangs are the rent-a-mob trouble makers, and NOT the boy racer types who just enjoy hanging round.

I'm glad you told the police about the sad little pricks who turned up to cause trouble. However small that faith may be, we all should have some hope for the police doing the right thing some of the time.
That said, it wouldnt surprise me if they just sent them on their way.

sadly the moment anything bad happens involving a bunch of lads in cars then they are branded boy racers...
people also have the assumption that because there is a cruise or gathering that doggers and other people will get hassled by them. its a misconception but one which the media has helped fuel.
that in turn gives us true car enthusiasts a bad name.
just as im sure doggers get called pervs and freaks etc.

There seems to be a lot of police activity in the Lancs areas at the mo. According to posts on the forum in the last couple of days, police seem to have stepped up patrols at all the locations around Bolton, and Blackpool, and Burtonwood. It seems they are just moving people on, but it pays to be wary. Anyways, thanks you guys for posting such warnings, but it is better to post all warnings on this sticky. That way people can see all the warnings at a glance, and they stay at the top forever, unlike individual posts.

I have read many posts by people slagging the Police off for various things, but have yet to read one post where anyone has ever got into any serious trouble with the law, except from being spoken to. From other posts you know that some quiet areas obviously attract some undesierable idiots. i.e. the iron bar gang, fireworks, baseball bat need I go on.
I used to be on shift, driving round in the marked car with the big blue lights and sometimes you can be working at night for up to ten/eleven hours. Now that gets boring and sometimes you go and have a look and see what's happening at known locations. You don't think when the cops are sat outside the nightclub at closing time their waiting to see if any trouble happens!!!!!! Of course there looking at the ladies coming out all dressed up!!! A lot of them are like doggers and have a genuine interest in the other sex, whats so wrong with that?
I agree that some officers, normally traffic one's in big cars are obnoxious and can be wankers but you get people like that in every job.
On a positive note most coppers know whats going on and just like taking a peak for themselves during a quiet time.
One point of note, I have personally stopped a car in a lay by in the early hours and the female was in the process of being sexually assaulted after being drugged in a nightclub!
Yeah there are some wankers in the Police but generally we are decent blokes up for a good laugh. If you get stopped by a bloke on his own make a few suggestive comments and see where it gets you. You cannot get arrested for dogging as long as it's not in broad daylight in view of the general public.

Cross topicing here but here goes. I believe the police are public servants and are paid to do their job - not sit outside nightclubs looking at women - there said it - my dad was a copper and some of the stories you realise why the police get a bad name - even he was a bit of a skiver but at some of the stations he did stop the boozing and gambling in the 70's!

to johno the police man...? in any night time doggin spot the only difference between these boy racer types/dickheads etc and the police is the police have a badge and a licence to harras cpls instead and they do it regular simply because they know the laws behind them..dont know which force your in but does poping in when theyv got a quite time constitute...putting full beams on cpls shining flash lights in peoples cars giving 3rd degrees etc etc etc..with never a single arrest to there name..2 nights ago we were parked up 3 cars parked opposite us, all with gangs of kids in each..music playin reving there engines etc etc...in pops the police killing a spare moment as you put it, and decides to completely blank the 3 cars but decides to do all that we stated early to us totally ignoring the 3 cars opposite us..maybe they thought we were bonny and clyde or mass murderers..sure were gonna have a bit of fun in the car with our selves or a willing participant, but never in the view of dick heads/police or the public and sure the police know it.. but dont make out they are there 4 the same reason most of us on here are there for as theres a fine line between doing there job and harrasment..

I'll be in the warm tonight....along with several others who are also pissed-off with being regarded as public enemy numbers 1, 2 and 3.

We have it on good authority that the location just outside Maidstone near the timber yard has had a huge amount of inteest from plod. A couple who are known to us were arrested and detained for several hours while plod reviewed the cctv footage.
Happily they were released with a warning.
There has always been a camera by the cafe and it may just be a case of performing in the wrong place or they have installed an additional cam.
Be careful, you have been warned.
