What you really mean is the police will turn up, watch through the gates until they realise they're outnumbered 3 to 1 and return to the station to watch Eastenders. The tinkers ( hasten to add they are not real gysies, who have a lot more respect for the countryside ) will then take over the area, claim whatever benefits they can ( buggered if I know how ) then clear off when the mess they've left behind reaches the height of the lead van. They then bugger off to find another empty area ( Asda carpark again no doubt ) leaving a mess behind that will cost the council ( ie you and Ie ) £10,000 to clear up.
Needless to say we've been having the same problems down this way and it narks the life out of me when there is a perfectly decent official site nearby
