This election appears to have seen ukip leap frog the Lib-dems into third place, they will almost definitely make up any coalition likely to be formed if an overall majority can't be reached.
is this really a good thing and surely they would force a referendum on Europe which could see us leave the EU
Surely the SNP will win more seats than UKIP or the LibDems?
i would have thought the same about the snp.
also as the election gets nearer it will be very interesting to see how much abuse and dirty tricks go on where farage is talking to the public.
Ty,
Expecting more abuse and dirty tricks from all of them
Labour / SNP in Scotland
Labour / Tories in England
Tories / UKIP in England
Lots of scorn on LibDems
Brighton example of Greens, by all others
and lots of other combinations
To be honest, thought the campaigning had started late last year, though now Westminster 'dissolved' the scrap starts in earnest and all the various 'rebuttal teams' will be spinning away like mad.
As we get closer to polling day, expect more 'pledges' and 'promises' though Clegg knows they can come back to bite after last time, and T/L/LD all forgetting what they said last September to a large extent.
Personally, I'm not looking forward to the result of this election.
We're likely to end up with either a Labour government supported by the SNP, who are just out to cause havoc because they lost the referendum and want payback, or a Conservative government kept in power by UKIP, who only have one agenda and are a pretty unsavoury bunch.
It's something that we'll have to get used to though as the days of one party government are over for the time being and we'll have to put up some fairly unholy alliances.
If / when any Political canvassers knock on the door, they will probably say something like, "hi we're from the Labour / Lib-dem / Tory party".
We then reply, "So, you've come to apologise have you ?"
Totally stuns them !!!!
