just been talking to a customer of mine today, who's son has just announced that all he needs is for him and his girlfriend to have 2 more kids and they then won't have to work again, btw the son is 18 and the g/friend is 18 and they have 2 children already, is this right or has the world gone crazy.
if you don't know the answer to that one...i'm not going to tell yah!

No not the world...just the benefit scrounging, won't work, long term useless, got no future and no inclination to do fuck all other than be a dole thief Britain in 2009.

If we could get a bunch of polititions with a backbone between them, who promoted a system of personal responsibility instead of just rolling over to anything 'family or children' then there wouldn't be the opportunity for people to abuse the system. Having kids isn't a right...if you can't afford them then don't have them until you can.
Until we have a system that stops rewarding people for breeding as they wish and concentrates on helping those with a genuine and provable need for help such as short term lack of work or long tem/permanant illness or disability preventing any sort of work, were basically fucked with the mounting social bills.
It needs a strong and determined overhaul to change the whole mindset of the country.

If my kids turn around and say anything remotely like that when there older then they'll be getting a slap!
The government doesn't help. This is the sort of attitude they're breeding with their payouts. I consider myself to be on a good salery but there are scrounging scrotes out there who are on more than me for doing nothing because they spit out kids like their on a production line!

You only have to wait 13 weeks to get help with the mortgage payments well they will pay the interest on it. The law changed on this in February and before it was 39 weeks which I had to wait, nearly had the mortgage company start repossesion on my house.
I'm also shocked that people so young would have children, they have only just become adults so to speak and there is so much in life that they havent done havent experienced and basically they are living off the state and not worked a day in their life. How can they provide for their children?

Hope ye get sorted soon..
I used to watch ppl on giro day rush around frantically getting slips to show they had made an effort to look for work prior to signing on...would not see them again until 10 mins before next signing on day..No sympathy for those C***s, have a soft spot for Incapacity benefit claimers tho although i have seen some come in and exaggerated their "incapacity" they are C***s too...
Good luck and keep yer pecker up.. :thumbup:
There is no more incapacity benefit.
It changed to Employment Support Allowance in October 2008.
ALL esa claimants HAVE to present themselves for medical assessment by private medical companies (note: Not necessarily doctors) and past claimants of the old incapacity benefit will also be assessed in time.
Many (in fact the majority) of claimants of jobseekers allowance do not receive any other benefit (including housing benefit (the rents paid)) and council tax benefit.
The majority of claimants (now) do not receive free prescriptions or dental care (although if they are ill their benefit can be ended (they then can claim for esa)
Note that for a claimant of jsa or esa to be able to claim other benefits such as rent or council tax benefits their partner has to be also not working.
Jsa and esa benefit is
Rent paid is to a limit...excessive rent will not be paid.
In all cases the rent or council tax is paid to the payee, not the claimant.
All child benefit ceases when the child reaches maturity or ceases full time education (in which cases it ends at 21)
It is MUCH better(if you have 3 or more children) to be WORKING in a low paid job, part-time. Then you can receive child tax benefit, which can be as much as
Note also that the con party, if/when elected is going to end all the above benefit.
Discussed at a fringe meeting at the above political parties conference was a proposal that parents unable to support their children may be eligible to have them adopted (nobody actually said if that was to be voluntary though !)
jsa = jobseekers allowance
esa = employment support allowance
It may be interesting see if you can receive Working Tax Credit (up to £10.0/wk). Many can, but do not claim.

edited Sunday: Child Tax Credit should be max not Sorry.

I wont get any help with the mortgage untill March 2010 as I am currently on Contributions based JSA and dont qualify for help untill I am in receipt of Income based JSA rolleyes
So looks like its goodbye house...
No the world has not gone crazy but this country has.
A couple like these will get much more in benefits that they could earn by going out to work. So they are happy to live off those of us who are stupid enough to work and pay our taxes.
