It is still a sad thing when a PM seems to have trouble spelling basic words though.
I know kids of today have trouble, but they have their mobile phones to thank for that....four=4....cos instead of because....wot instead of what....and so on and on.
Blimey I have heard they are even letting kids pass exams in English as people at least know what they are saying.
But Brown does come from a generation that did leave school being able to spell.....still he looked fucking humble on the tv yesterday, and for the first time that I have seen, he was embarrassed beyond belief.
Public opinion is against him more than I can ever remember any other PM. As I think Jump states.....he really has to go and the sooner the better, but he will cling on in the deluded state of mind that he is in, where he thinks he will still be PM this time next year. loon :loon: :loon:
Deluded beyond reason....keep taking the pills Brownie. wink

But he also comes from a generation where identiying such problems as dyslexia was far less frequent and had much more stigma attached to it that it does now as well....

He still managed to get a PhD in History from Edinburgh though. innocent
Can be many dyslexics who can claim that, can there?

Richard Branson is a zillionaire and dyslexic......And that has no bearing either.....

As you so rightly say Steve, Brown came from a generation where identifying dyslexia was far less frequent - or tolerated (and I've just identified that GB is just 12 days older then me).
He would not have survived the PhD reading History if he was indeed dyslexic so I doubt that he ever actually was (or is).
Branson is a totally different issue here and not directly relevant. He was a drop-out by all accounts and proves a totally different theory altogether.
So he is dyslexic, so fuckin what? He is supposed to be the Prime Minister, why the hell should he be making excuses and moreover why should we accept them. I don't care about his handwriting or general lack of literacy, he is a complete James Hunt and should have had his reign as pm consigned to history months ago. as we head for the bleakest Christmas periods for decades with record unemployment and still no sign of this recession ending, he will no doubt continue going through the motions in his own air gulping self important smug little way.
Never mind though because the recession isn't going to affect Gordon Brown, he obviously has his list of priorities and the British people are somewhere near if not right at the very bottom.
I wish he would just die.
I have read pages 1 and 4 so please forgive me if I'm repeating anything already said.
In a letter such as this, mis-spelling a person's name is unforgivable. It displays a total disregard for the person as an individual. Mis-pronouncing or mis-spelling a person's name is used as a deep insult in most literate cultures.
Most of us make a real effort to spell people's names correctly even in a chat room - let alone a condolence letter from the person who sent the boy to die, to the dead boy's mother. If he wasn't confident of getting it right he should have had someone else type it up.
I bet the boy's commanding officer spelt it right!
im just wondering how much this woman recieved from the sun !!!! im finding it quite funny how all of a sudden the sun newspaper is slamming everything brown does
seems to me the bloke cant do no right

She says she has neither sought nor received any payment for it.
Brown can't do any right, which is why he must go.
This would make for a great joke, if it wasn't actually true..
One of the first laws that Tony Blair had repealed was the one that stated that one could still be hanged for high treason. He then became the worst war monger ever to grace the office of British Prime Minister. Brown has continued to wage war, in his case mostly against the British people.
Another point worth making is the one about devolution. Labour insist there has to be seperate parliaments for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, but not for England because central government is based in London. Therefore when Blair stepped down an Englishman should gave been given the job as interim PM as Britain prepared for a general election. Can you imagine the uproar that would ensue if the leader of the Scotish parliament for example stepped down and was replaced by an Englishman? Of course not because it would never be allowed to happen.
you all think brown is a bad leader.
count yourself lucky it aint me because id have tanks and troops on the streets rounding up all the hoodies and dishing out public beatings.
