Scare mongering and the politics of fear, or is this the future of all terrorism and wars?
Scare-mongering. They listed every possible threat apart from biological warfare - and I'm pretty sure they would have blind panic in their hands if they announced that particular nasty.
As far as I can tell they simply read the back covers of the House of Commons library 'thrillers' shelf and printed it.
I'm fed up of being told there is XYZ threat but 'national security means we can't show you the evidence' or that they have prevented yet another terrorist attack but 'national security means we can't show you the evidence'.
Since the government is populated entirely by self-serving liars, I'll believe in real threats and preventions when I see REAL proof.
I'm not saying there isn't a threat, or that terrorists aren't doing their thing. Just that the governemnt's incapable of doing/saying anything without lying so what they say about terrorism counts no more than what they say about the national debt.
