Refuse work? Chance would be a fine thing! My son has been applying to multiple jobs every week for over a year. He has had no more than 2 interviews - one was one of theose mass things where you make paper planes (what the f* is that all about?). He wasn't offered the job in either case. He has had loads of refusals but the vast majority of applications didn't even receive a reply.
How about management at Job Centres losing their money if they don't offer someone any (actual, real, genuine) jobs? We are constantly told that there are jobs pout there for the having. WHERE? Not in the Job Centres that's for sure.
