Am I alone in thinking that the most damning evidence of the press' constant deriding of our educational system is that their readership appears unable to apply any critical process to what they're told?
I think you may be right. I am hopeful, based on the young people I know, that this trend is in reverse.

I watched a well-known banks advert recently where branch staff visit schools to educate children on day-to-day banking and as much as I object to who's teaching the subject, I do feel that educating children in everyday, common sense activities can't be a bad thing.
We never had anything like that when I was at school a couple of years ago ......... innocent :gagged: :lol2:
