Gulson nobody is saying to stop the benfits, least of all me.
What I am saying is it needs to be looked at more seriously.
There are many people out there who are claiming as a single parent yet are living with a partner. I have known myself of six such people over the last two years alone. Am sure many others either know of someone, or have their suspicions.
People like Soul who need all the help she can get, have to struggle on the money she gets. If a lot more scroungers and thieves were sorted out, maybe the genuine amongst us in society would get more money?
As it is the welfare budget has gone through the roof over the last decade, the figures are mind blowing ammounts of money.
We all know where a lot of it goes too, and the needy Brits have to almost beg for their money. I pay into a system that I hoped would be fair and just to the genuine people out there. But it has become a lifestyle choice for hundreds of thousands now, who have never seen their parents work, so just follow that thought pattern, of why should I work?
You should want to work for self esteem, to buy the nicer things in life, to better oneself. But so many are only interested in conning the system, and depriving the most needy people the money they deserve.
If there is anyone who does not think that is the right way to go, then they are no doubt in that bracket I have mentioned above.
Give the money to the people that need it, and catch and force those who are stealing money back out too work.
I have my own opinions on the bankers/wankers and the thieving politicians, but this thread is not about them, it is about...what is it about again?
