The new current affairs forum and topical debate.
I was looking down the list of threads and it seem they all err towards current affairs mostly.
Often I have thought about staring just a fun thread but I wouldn't know where to put it.
Does this mean in general people here are more serious and want to talk about real issues about life and a bit of a laugh and the fun is left to the chat rooms now days?
Well in a nutshell Minx, yes it has. The CA forums always appeared to be the most active from number of posts (maybe not in the number of threads being started) so once it joined with the Cafe then it would take it over. A little unfairly in my opinion, I would have rather seen the CA forum remain exactly where it was due to the somewhat "vocal" nature of posting.
As a 'frequent' poster to the now defunct CA Forum, I agree entirely with Minx and RT.
I feel really sorry for new posters to the absurdly named 'Fancy a Chat' forum because their first attempts at posting are often swamped and disappear from prominence very quickly as Current Affairs threads predominate.
Still, I guess someone with an eye for detail and a brain better than the sum total of the posters parts  have a better handle on this.
If you genuinely fancy a chat, then surely you should get out from behind the computer screen and go and chat to someone.
The forum is not too dissimilar from the chatroom, the room titles are not very often a relection of the nature or content of the discussions within.
most threads start about one thing and always end up being taken over by racists.
