It's only a few minutes of your day this year, so please remember the men and women that have died and been injured for our country.
You may argue and disagree at times, not least about the causes of war, but this is not the time or the place.
We shall be at the Exeter ceremony with our children tomorrow; We hope you will be replicating us elsewhere.

Will only be in the living room but 2 minutes silence,to reflect, will be observed ...
Off to the local war memorial in an hours time.
It is not to remember the wars or the reasons for the wars or the rights or wrongs of the wars, it is to remember those that gave their lives as volunteers or without choice (conscription) and it is those to whom we ask you to pay your respects and to remember them.
They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning
We will remember them
has anyone seen the white poppy? We have one most years. The idea is generally that 'there are better ways of ending disputes than blowing one another to pieces'.
Please folks, look it up.
Other than that, why do people join the armed forces and then cry and claim compensation when thy are shot at?
Are you talking about the 'armed forces compensation scheme' which is a condition of service offered by the employer, or are you talking about the private health and life insurance that service people have to pay for just like everyone else?

Can't answer your question with out all the facts, please show me your evidence of armed forces "crying about being shot at"
How many dead of WWI and WWII were conscripts given no choice but to serve ?
Your right of course everybody should take out insurance but NEVER claim against it, I am sure you wont claim on household insurance or car insurance policies you may have.
Employers should not pay compensation to employees for injuries they sustain at work.
Companies should not pay compensation to victims of products which later cause injury or death.
You don't mention compensation claims made by prisoners unable to go into the excerise yard because of inclement weather so I have to believe you support those claims.
Laptop lost containing Benefit claiments details - not compensated
Laptop lost containing details of serving soldier - not compensated
Laptop lost containing details of prisoners serving sentances - massive compensation paid.
