Where will it all end Blue?
Nature since the beginning of time has funny ways to wipe out man, creating life in this way is a very dangerous game to play...let's hope in the long term man does not end up regretting it.

It could do lots of good, my fear is it will end up as a future weapon. Where will the money be spent, for the good or the bad?
When IVF was first stumbled upon and the test tube baby thing, did it ever start out with letting women well into their 60's have a child?
No it did not but over time these things have a habit of happening when at the start that would never have been the intention.
Too many dodgy doctors from other countries too willing to make a few bob from pushing human boundaries.
Whilst many countries follow strict codes and guidelines, there are always other countries that do not play by the same rules..... scary and dangerous.

That is very true, but we shouldn't let them stand in the way of our advancement as a species. Stem-cell research is an emotive and controversial science - this new discovery may replace it and be the start of the "cure-all" that science has been searching for. It could also conceivably kill billions.
