It was indeed sad to hear of Jade Goody passing away especially on Mothers Day, and my heart goes out to her two sons who will be constantly reminded of their loss every Mothers Day.
My condolences to her mother too. I can't think of anything worse that attending your own childs funeral.
Whilst any lost of life is sad, Jades condition woke up a lot of women, and she may well have saved many other lives, so other families will not have to suffer as Jades family has.

I confess i havent read all the posts on this thread and hope im not repeating.
Jade certainly grated on me, however i felt so sorry for the plight she found herself in and certainly didn't like the way everything was plastered on the news. BUT there is a good side to everything. In this case it is the number of women now turning up for smear tests. Part of my job involves taking smears and we usually have to chase women to come in and get their smears. In the last few months women have been pouring through the doors to get their smear tests done so much so that the local lab has a back log of 17,000 tests to examin.
For this i thank Jade. If only one person who wouldn't have turned up for a smear was found to have cancer or pre cancer and gets treated that is just one more life saved so i asy a great big THANK YOU.
