Sadly in this day and age the intrusion of the paparazzi and long lense brigade have been known about for many years, e.g. Diana, Fergie, etc.
Whilst the UK media are currently 'looking over their shoulders' re Levenson, the foreign press have no such fears and treat royalty as they would do any celeb elsewhere, also something well known for years.
Therefore unless there are specific and robust laws on 'intrusion' everywhere, there isn't, the only way for 'celebs' to avoid such photos being taken and sold to the highest bidders and being published, is don't go topless, etc.

But why shouldn't they go topless, naked or whatever H?
These photos were taken at Lord Linley's Provence villa (I think it was his late mother's place) and was a clear breach of stringent privacy rules which do exist in France.
I very much think the French aren't that interested to be honest, it's de rigour for the french to go topless whenever possible and they don't have the same hang ups (no pun intended!) that the all too prurient Brits and Italians have.
It'll be interesting to see how the French courts deal with the Cambridge's legal action.

I know the french have had very strict privacy laws for decades, their Politicos made sure and have 'benefited' from it. Also it's quite common to have topless, etc. beaches, etc. there (benefitted ourselves, esp as the Japanese fleet tend to not fish the Med)
She went topless, pictures were taken, were sold, have been published, and now resorting to the Courts is like closing the stable doorafterwards ...

I haven't and I really can't be bothered to even try to look them up on the Internet or on the local newsstands.
Seen one pair of tits you've probably seen them all but grainy, pixelated poor quality stuff from telephoto lenses is really scraping the barrel and if that's what gives these perverts their kicks, they need their bumps feeling.
