Can't recall Michael Foot ever being PM. Have we missed something?

No but I think you may have done.
Have a Google. wink
Nope. No mention of him ever being PM.
Just testing your Google skills. lol
As Michael Foot was such a leading authority on the works of Jonathan Swift I would have thought you may have suggested I ' ' him.

Sorry could not stand him as a politician.
As a man never knew him.
Neil Kinnock, ya know the man who WAS a twit, was talking today and summed it up for me when he said " we have been comrades for decades ".
Old Labour eh?
Still at 96 he had a good innings.

If you think Neil is a twit you clearly know as little about him as you know about Michael. Move on Kenty - you're way out of your depth on this one.

Might it have been better to describe him as a welsh twit? dunno
I heard him schpieling on the radio this morning (Michael, not Nael)... and recorded, not live.
He was letting rip with a real passion in the HoC's.
Fantastic.
Don't get too much of that these days.

Hark at the expert on everything moving and breathing.
Not out of my depth at all....the guy was a twit.

As I said..." a twit ".
Makes me laugh everytime I see this, and his arse was as wet as his parties policies. lol
I'm catching the end of The Culture Show on BBC2.
A bit of a profile/obituary.
just thought I'd mention it.
lp
i was wrong though...
it wasn't the Culture Show, that was delayed for a little 'Foot'age

yeah kenty Away knows shit cos he interested ,informed and open minded, you could try it some time
So kinnock fell down, wow, doesnt diminish his intellect
That is your opinion and does not suprise me at all.
Open minded? Think some of his replies to others on here, would fall more into the rude and obnoxious catagory.
Still I am entitled to my opinions as you are......But obviously am out of my depth so will sneak back into the corner. wink

Can I be racist of my own race :dunno:

People are way too quick to use that card.

Google 'Uncle Tom'.
His race is irrelevant to your assertions that he is a twit.
It had NOTHING whatsoever to do with the fact he is Welsh.
He could have been Cuban, African or Chinese, and he still would have been a twit in my book.
He was one too. lol

It's amazing you've had that book so long and still haven't finished colouring it in.
And before the mods get cross about 'sniping' perhaps they'll explain how calling someone a 'twit' or referring to their race adds to the quality of debate.

FFS get off your high horse. You have been offensive to other posters ever since you began posting here!
GNV's comment about Kinnock being a Welsh Twit was tongue in cheek and Kent is entitled to express his opinion, whether you like it or not. You think calling someone a twit is offensive? In my book, Kinnock didn't even that highly!

I am sorry I have missed something here.
The mods do not have to explain anything as far as I can see, but I think you do.
If calling someone a twit was the worst anyone got called the world would be smelling of lightly scented roses.
I think GNV's comment was perfect, but how does calling him a " Welsh twit " constitute racism fgs?
If that is REALLY what you think, and I do not believe it is ( argueing for arguements sake )then no wonder we have a situation of madness that we do.
Anyway I thought the Welsh were part of the British Isles? If so then maybe GNV should have called him a British twit perhaps? Now as I am supposedly British, then if someone called me a British twit, I would be very happy with that.
You really need to get away from that holier than though perch you sit on, every once in a while.
I did not like Mr. Foot as a politician...as a man I did not know him but after doing a bit of research he seems a better man than most of the idiots we currently have in Parliament.
Neil Kinnock was a twit....nothing to do from where he was born btw.....Mandelson is a double twit and Blair is a liar and a triple twit, and he is English. I can say that as I do not think if I am English I can be racist towards my own....can I ??
Just so as you understand exactly where I am coming from on this debate.
Btw............yes I coloured the book in yonks ago.

Actually, he's Scottish....

That is true GNV.
Born in Edinburgh to two English parents, then moved to Durham as a young child.
I bet it still says " British " on his passport.
Ok then he is a Scottish/ English triple twit then. wink
