For my second op on my eye, I took in War and Peace. That I only managed 350 pages before losing the plot...
The Big Lebowski. One of the best films produced within the last 20 years and I csn safely say, I have watched it over 20 times (in different formats, directors cut etc) and it still makes me smile, laugh and cringe.
loads but top ones would be Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources, if you can handle subtitles (or understand French -we don't !), great story, great music, filmed in a beautiful part of rural France, just overall brilliant films.

No idea how many times I've seen the film. Seen it on stage at least twenty times in various places, and yes, I know the script verbatim. Sad huh?
Prospero's Books
The visuals, the music, one of Shakespeare's best plays, and Sir John Gielgud in the bath.
