in many of his speeches on the campaign trail, he declared he would withdraw from iraq, bring his boys home and repeal the patriot act "on taking office" with slogans of "we are change" and "yes we can". since taking office he has :- increased the military budget, increased the bailout stimulus package to banks, increased the war in afghanistan, made threats against pakistan and carried out "drone" attacks in northern pakistan and his latest, said he would sign the copenhagen accord without reference to congress by using his "executive powers" in contravention of the constitution and bill of rights. his medicare programme, not to be confused with our n.h.s. would mean every working american contributing a set amount to PRIVATE health companies by LAW.
the nobel PEACE prize awarded to him for having achieved nothing of the sort, is designed to maintain confusion of the electorate in the u.s. and elsewhere while he continues with the policies determined by his masters, WALL STREET BANKERS.

I think that the Nobel Peace Prize committee sent out a very bold message.
I listened intently to the Obama acceptance lecture where he set out his ideals and aspirations.
I have said in other threads that we should pull out of Afghanistan and I still believe that but with an open mind, I listened to his reasoning about the increase in troop numbers as a means to an end.
He did not seek to win this prize; indeed, I genuinely believe it took him by surprise.
But I can see the American point of view more clearly now. Let's hope he is worthy of his word.

Yeah, but they would have asked him first - the honourable thing to do whould have been to decline in favour of a more worthy recipient, and if it ever came out, his reasons would have won him admiration the world over - even better, a manufactured leak could have ensured it came out
But the vain little tart that he is, he obviously wanted the glory and couldn't see far enough ahead to the upside in declining

as this crisis continues to develope, contrary to "green shoots" "house prices are rising" "unemployment not getting worse as fast" "jobless recovery" propaganda churned out every day to keep the great unwashed from realising whats happening, thanks to the net, people are becoming very much more, aware.
what on earth are people thinking, particularily the inteligent of the well meaning "greens" supporting the copenhagen accord that barky has said he will sign and enforce by executive powers in contravention of "the constitution" and without reference to congress, while world production/activity/trade/greenhouse gas production IS FALLING AT THE RATE OF 30% ?????. if the worlds population is 6.7 billion and to feed and clothe them, even if 5 billion at subsitence level, if you cut the poor countries carbon emissions you will KILL THEM ! nobel peace prize my ass. if there were any good intentions behind such a prize, they've been long since hijacked by the same mob who own the politicians and media and propagate manipulated data as scientific evidence of global warming while the u.s. suffers its coldest decenber since records began in 1888.
and while this process takes place, the media primes the divisions within society and preys on their backwardness with stories of "its all the blackies, muslims, asylum seekers, lazyphuckers, doleites, poles, kosovans, pakis, etc's FAULT ! wake up sheeple, hope i have'nt disturbed too many here and awaked any at this unearthly hour, just got in from work an hour ago.
