the arab spring was anything but arab. the arab spring was launched from the cia headquarters in virginia and mubarak was a target because he refused to sanction egyptian troops to support the coalitian of the willing (iraq) and his last transgression was to refuse to support the ouster of ghaddaffi. morsi (muslim brotherhood, british intelligence creature created in the 1920's) was willing and also backed the jihad to oust the secular government of syria, once part of the arab syrian egyptian state under nasser. morsi led the charge to evict syria from the arab league and supported qatar, bharain and saudi arabia in arming the jihadist mercenary death squads imported from all over the middle east from morocco to indonesia paid $150 a week to create mayhem, , death and distruction in syria. not only did he not carry out his promise to raise the standard of living of ordinary egytians but he made it many times worse by introducing imf dictates of removing state subsidies and controls on cooking oil, wheat, bread, rice and petrol.
it is a military coup but the army had their own gripes. morsi, in declaring jihad against syria had declared that the army, for the first time in its history should be deployed abroad to topple assad. whilst the generals, si si included may have been willing to keep their american dollars they know that the middle management (colenals and captains (officer corp)) would revolt.
the generals are trying to stay popular with the masses to head off revolution because they know the cat is out of the bag.
morsi was elected by twitter and facebook (western intel) and the egyptians have cottoned on to "the arab spring" along with many millions of others in the middle east and around the world.
