It has been on the news today that "punishment" attacks or "knee cappings" have increased in the past year in Ireland.
These attacks are apparently carried out by "terrorist groups" on people who have misbehaved within the community as a warning to them and the rest of the community.
Figures also show that the areas and communities where these "attacks" have been known to occur that crime is at a very very low level and in particular youth crime is nearly none existent.
Now call me heartless but to me this is a much better punishment for the "chavs" and youth of today than any ASBO and although extreme works well, and just proves that although less extreme the now long gone good telling off from the local bobby and a clip round the ear, instead of all this mamby pamby shit we have nowadays should have been left to carry on and then maybe "respect" would not be a "chav" tag line and Britain would not be as "broken"?
Cassie
Perhaps that's why sin feign are so keen to take over justice in NI :smoke:
They can carry on doing what they have been doing for years but at least make it legal!

So let me try and follow the logic of this. Places that have lots of brutal crimes which involve maiming people for life don't have lots of crime? How does that work then?
When you were doing this in-depth study of crime and punishment, did you happen to look at the mismatch between perceptions of crime and the level of crime?

"Bring it on then" let me get this right, you took the last comment as a threat? Do you often go challenging females to fight you and stand up to you? If so then Cassies post has just been shown to really have some worth to it and i too would support in your case "punishment" attacks!
I do not myself agree with what Cassie was trying to say about knee capping being a good idea, but i do agree with the "mamby pamby" ways we have now of not doing anything and just giving out a piece of paper as being total rubbish, a good stiff clip round the ear from the local bobby who was respected as a statue of authority undoubtably worked but thanks to the "social services molly coddle world" we now live in this has gone.
Lost i am sure it does scare the shit out of you and the threat and thought of it would probably scare the shit out of the little chav turds who roam our streets, mugging old ladies for cig money, or the youths who go round stabbing each other and any randoms they see fit.
Final note to Awayman you "bring it on" but i assure you you really would not want to do that with me!

Ooohhhhhh, someone's having a tantrum.
You think punishment attacks are a good thing? Get on with it then. That's what bring it on then means. Instead of talking bollocks on here why aren't you out in the streets doing your best Dirty Harry?
Is it because you're female? So what? You think punishment attacks are a good thing. All you have to do it get yourself a haseball bat or a piece of two by four, the put four or six six inch nails through it. Then you get a gang of like minded sociopaths, six or eight of you, and you find the person who'd benefit from your version of justice. Doesn't matter if there'sno evidence other than gossip - you're judge jury and executioner.
Once you've overpowered the poor sod, and they've pissed or shit themselves, you beat their lower limbs, making sure the nails go into the soft flesh of the thighs and calves as well as damaging the bones of the joint. If they're a repeat offender you get a club hammer and a six inch nail and drive it into the knee from the side so that you really fuck up the soft tisssues of the knee, or you drop breeze blocks on their tib and fib until they fracture.
Really bad repeat offenders? Easy. Put 'em face down on the ground, put a nine mill against the back of the knee and pull the trigger. That's why it's called kneecapping, because it blows the kneecap off. Or you couldjust put the gun to the back of their heads and put 'em in a peat bog.
Then go home, make yourself a cup of cocoa and tell yourself there's no crime where you live. In A&E somewhere there'll be a student nurse like my mate Cassie, puking at the sight of a teenage boy who's facing the rest of his life as a cripple with scars that'll never heal, because you think punishment beatings are a good fucking idea.
Now..................take a deep breath everyone.
Jumptoit and Awayman you both have PMs. Now calm down or walk away.

I wasn't un-calm Mal. I thought it appropriate to describe what some people appear to approve of. If that's outside the AUP I'll happily delete, and apologise to anyone offended by the realities of rough justice of that kind.
To be quite frank, I can see why people become highly emotive over these issues. Sadly, society hasn't yet found an answer that is anywhere near ideal. Well don't ask me, I'm no better than the rest!
Plim wink
