A drinking buddy said to me t'other day "I love August, start of the season". I had to think about it, and he was referring to the football season. I, on the other hand, and a big sports fan, began to think of the Vuelta and of the impending American football season, and of gettin kids ready for back to school stuff of course.
Once upon a time the month of March would have excited me as the start of the trout fishing season and the beginning of the flat racing year.

I love october, theres often frost on the ground, the leaves have fallen, i can put my garden to rest for the winter, Its my birthday month and its Halloween :rascal: which means i get to dress up and scare people when they come knocking on my door MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
