Heiniken banners fly high at an illegal dog fighting show.
Your flags might be high but your the lowest of the low when it comes to sponsoring events
and in the picture someone is filming the fighting.
who really wants to watch it. sickos
The marketing department at Heineken perhaps
These things can always stand a bit of scrutiny. ;)

The picture is genuine, but Heineken had no knowledge of the dog fighting event and does not endorse or promote dog fighting in any way. The Heineken banners were left in the venue - a nightclub in Mongolia - after an unrelated promotional event the previous night and their presence is not an indication that Heineken supported the dog fighting activity. The venue's management failed to remove the banners before the dog fight was staged reportedly because staff did not have time to do so between the two events. Heineken has since ceased its relationship with the club and ensured that its products will never be sold there again. Heineken is not guilty of the accusations laid against it and sending on this misleading image is unfair and counterproductive.
Fair enough, but perhaps they and other sponsors will be more careful what sort of venues they do support in future, they still supported a venue that holds dog fighting events, something that in that nation is common and therefore perhaps a little more checking should have been carried out, if we took it the wrong way it is only because they left themselves open to a problem

No argument here  but I'm sure they've learnt their lesson many times over in the years that photo has been doing the rounds. The only reason I knew to look in the first place is because it's popped up on my Facebook feed regularly for the past couple of years.
It only takes a second to find the thousand words the didn't write.
just one little quote that's worth highlighting ''The venue owner has verbally confirmed that Heineken banners are visible in the pictures because the previous evening the club had been decorated for a promotional event and he had failed to remove the banners once it was over. This event was in no way related to the dog fight,' he said.'

Little bit harsh. What's to say that it wasn't the first dog fight at this venue? Or that the owners of the venue even knew this was going on? Whats to say that it isnt a number of things. I think by the first assumption, it shows that further assumptions would be a little hasty. Personally I didnt think for one minute that they would advertise at such an event. Theres just no way. Whats more is I can tell you that these illegal events go from venue to venue and at a moments notice. The event details often get passed around last minute via social media so as to avoid police and other agencies. Usually the halls been hired out for someones birthday or reward ceremony. Its all too easy to just say that they should have ' done their homework' and in some way were responsible for their banners still being up.
Just saying smile
what sort of venue owner lets dog fighting happen on the premises in the first place.
money truly is the root of all evil.

Totally Agree !!

HARSH - no, if your going to sponsor events in a Country where dog fighting is legal then you check things out before you start sponsoring venues if you do not want to lose a lot of business and upset your customers.
Dog fighting in many countries may be underground and venues set up at a moments notice but not in countries like Mongolia where the barbaric practice is legal.
There are still a number of countries where dog fighting is commonplace and is not legislated against.
These include Brazil, most of latin america in fact, and Russia.
That's just another reason, on top of their persecution of gay groups and individuals, why none of us should be visiting for the world cup or olympic games respectively.
Shouldn't this thread be in the dogging section?
But in any case , it's a good job it wasn't carlsberg being seen
as sponsoring the event or it would probably have been the best
Dog fight in the world.
