So no one has yet CONdemed the 'feral' acts of the 'Bullingdon elite', mmmmm the smell of hypocracy is very strong around here wink
Anyone fancy a flutter,Ladbrokes now have odds of 5/2 on there being a General Election next year, wonder how long it will take for a vote of no confidence in Cameron, can't be far off lol

Here's some more wood for the toilet Boris.

I thought you had already condemned me for that in absentia medway :wink:
I see, so then do you agree with those 'feral' rich thugs smashing up someone's business, trashing restaurants and illegal drug use, i have given you a chance of redress, but now it becomes clear, the more you dodge the answer the more of a hypocrite you look !

I'm not a betting man but I'm sure that the odds on the link you provide show odds of 5/2 not 5/2 on....they also show odds of 8/15 on a Conservative win against 6/4 for a Labour win. What does that say?
Well it's not my newspaper but take a look at todays 'News Of The World' page 8 Fraser Nelson column under the heading 'The line is drawn, rebels are arming'
QUOTE;Last week, David Cameron saw the face of the enemy that might one day bring down his it wasn't the majority in Parliament was reduced to just 21 enemy was an alliance: As Labour joined up with Tory and Lib Dem this alliance grows, and the PM loses a confidence vote, game over. A General Election. And no new voting system to rig the crazy? Ladbrokes has odds of just 5-2 on a General Election NEXT YEAR. Polls have Labour winning'END OF QUOTE
Hilarious, first time i've quoted the 'News Of The World' of all people :lol: they even mention rigging the result ha ha ! it would appear the Murdoch, media spin machine are in a bit of a panic!
No thanks, I wouldn't believe anything I read in the NoW. If there is an election next year Ladbrokes obviously think the Conservatives will win.

You're right, there is a stench of hypocrisy about.
About Government buildings supposedly being attacked over tax avoidance, when the deal was done 10 years ago, under a Labour Government.
About companies being attacked over tax avoidance by activists no doubt carrying copies of the Guardian.
By posters posting articles on Tax avoidance, quoting the Guardian as their source.
BTW, could you please provide a link (to a credible source)showing the quote regarding Cameron and Boris Johnson?

rotflmao Thats a laugh. Everyone here just links to news paper after news paper so no credible sources used yet then.

not everyone does but at least a link to a newspaper or any such source allows one to decide whether they belive that source or not. Just writing a sentence and ending it , "quote David Cameron, Oxford 1986", allows no such luxury.
If Cameron, or Johnson misbehaved as young men I hope they face any consequences of there actions.

Its just two people writing a sentence a newspaper does not always give its source. Actually given the track record of the media I would have thought the random ramblings of any user on just about any forum to be just a credible.

That's exactly what I'm trying to ascertain.......whether it's random ramblings of a user on this forum being passed off as fact.
Ok,seeing as we are arguing over newspapers lets have a look at some of the footage from the protest which didn't make it onto our very balanced media ;

To be honest Browning. Churchill was just a politician so I do not give two hoots about what they done to his statue.
I do agree with you about the cenotaph and the Union Flag. That to me is the same as a graveyard and the desecration is uncalled for. I hope she is charged as the lad who urinated on one in the summer and she gets community service like him.
Dave_Notts

Churchill was just a politician?
Thanks to people like him, the students have the right to protest!!!
Yes, he was a politician who sent thousands of men and women to war that never came back. They are who I am proud of, and they are the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice so these students can protest ...........not the politician.

That was not the fault of Churchill, the country was responding to a threat not made by Churchill.
The Statue is a piece of art which should not be denigrated, never mind who or what is at the top.

Agreed, that as a piece of property the people who damaged it should face the law of the land. However, I would never get my knickers in a twist about it because of the political figure who is on the property.
Churchill, I don't care about. The fact it is property I do and all who damaged it should face justice if caught.

I am happy to debate, but will not be drawn into petty squabbling
It shows badly behaved children!
I am sorry, but if people live by the sword, I have little sympathy when they Whinge and whine about dying by it. I have attended 3 major rallies in London, all without such behaviour

I didn't say that at all, reread what i posted, it's an alternate view from the mainstream media in the crowd while it's happening.

Agreed 100%, :thumbup: with things like this I try to imaging how I would feel if this was my property, or my grandparents in the car attacked by the mob, I would not be happy. Who was inside the car is not the point, but the act its self

Phew, that was what I was saying. Even though I am a secret Royalist, it shouldn't have a bearing who it was. The damage and scaring of an old couple needs dealing with, but the priority of the OAP who has been mugged down the road and been battered for her pension should have the Police time over this incident.
Lots have celebrated the cuts, these are the unwelcome facts. Not enough to go everywhere, so priorities have to be looked at first. A scared old couple or an oap bludgeoned half to death. If I was in charge I know where the priority has to go.

Think I answered that one earlier, I would agree they should face the consequences of there actions....... Hanging is a little harsh and outside the current laws of this land
Sorry but I must have missed it.
medway_garage, what is your position on the protesters? Are they carrying out criminal activities (destruction of property) and should be dealt with by the law?

I thought that was obvious Dave.
He hides behind old stuff which is totally irrelevant to the issues being debated and slags off anyone who dares not to agree with his perverse points of view - even to the point of calling people liars! You have to laugh though. He calls someone a liar for not reading all the links he posted then admits he had't yet read them all himself blink
He doesn't condemn the rioters; he thinks they are beautiful people. Of course they are entitled to attack Police Officers - it's their right and priviledge to do so. Oh, and to attack horses with fireworks and steel poles - that's a good bit of fun too! The Royal car? well, property is theft ain't it wink
Maybe this bill should be split between them also?
A Mayor of London spokesman said the cost of repairing damage in Parliament and Trafalgar Square could exceed £50,000
From here;

Picture from here;

Police cleared to use water cannon on rioters
Who is that protester? Did someone say he was a lad? I have squinted at it and thought it was a young girl. I really need to get to specsavers if it is a lad
