They are obliged to comply with the now very strict emission rules for London and I can't see for the life of me why they should not be allowed to join in and recover some of their investment from the Games, a significant opportunity for them which will not again be available in their lifetime.
The black cab and private hire have the same over arching regulation G. To say private hire are unregulated is simply wrong.
They should not be allowed to join in for the simple reason that was put forward earlier, the transport system can't cope over that two weeks so they are using bigger vehicles instead of 5 person carriers. Thats how I see it.
Whether it is right or wrong to ban them from doing their job depends on peoples views. Personally I couldn't give a monkeys as for them two weeks I will be going nowhere near the capital.
