Noticed this the other day when I was trawling the archives but I keep getting

502 Bad Gateway

On threads sad

I blamed the waywayback trawl but it's just happened on Postie's Elderly Avatar thread sad

Any ideas?
PS quite chuffed to see the old SH logo on the tab when the error comes up!

Must be a Chrome thing! It's fine on Firefox!

It's not a problem with the web browser, it's glitch in the matrix, err internet thingy.

I had the old Sh logo showing on my saved bookmarks the other day as well, so even that has come back! lol

That is actually right. The server basically can't find or serve the page you've requested. Reasons could be many including server overload, slow db response, incorrect file location mapping (possibly from a bad replication in the db or even bad upgrade).
The reason why it's affecting one browser rather the other will probably have to do with your session variables. You logon with chrome, you encounter a problem. You logon again with another browser but this time you might be dealing with a different web server that isn't overloaded so the request works.
