"I'm not scared of dying I just don't want to" Robbie Williams - Undone.
Can't think of any best lines, but I know the saddest.
"And the Knights are no more,
And the Dragons are dead."
From the children's hymn, 'when a knight won his spurs'.

Yep.
All I ever wanted was some love and peace and harmony
I could dance in the raw in the sun underneath the stars
When I walk over to my money tree ain't nobody there
Trying to take from me
When they ask "Are you truly free?" I'd say "Yes, truly"
and another..
For every last bruise you gave me
For every time I sat in tears
For the million ways you hurt me
I just wanna tell you this
You broke my world, made me strong
Thank you
Messed up my dreams, made me strong
Thank you

Last night I heard my Mama singing this song
"Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep"
Class
Cherry gawd bless ya girl! I been trying to think of the name of the hymn "when a night won his spurs" for ages (years & years) Oh god such a sad song!
that song makes me so sad, my mum used to play it in the evening before she left us, heard it quite a few times as a kid and knew she wouldnt be there the next day.

God fem that's ...well I have no words
sorry wasnt my intention to bring any one down, i love music and every event can be recalled with a certain song to me.
a talent i envy is song writting and being able to sing.
music has been the friend who sits up with you all night and understands.

When a knight won his spurs in the stories of old
He was gentle and brave he was gallant and bold
With a shield on his arm and a lance in his hand
For God and for valour he rode through the land
No charger have I and no sword by my side
Yet still to adventure and battle I ride
Though back into storyland giants have fled
And the knights are no more and the dragons are dead
So let faith be my shield and let hope be my steed
Against the dragons of anger the ogres of greed
And let me set free with the sword of my youth
From the castle of darkness the power of the truth

It was actually Foxy who named it Lost. The words are really moving.

Its called High Hopes
Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our troughts strayed constandly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begin
Along the long road and on down the causeway
Do they still meet there by the cut
There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before time took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The night of wonder
Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide
At a higher altitude with flag unfuried
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world
Eneumbered forever by desire and ambition
Theres a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road weve been so many time
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river
Forever and ever

I reckon the saddest is............
A dragon lives forever but not so little boys
Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys.
One grey night it happened, jackie paper came no more
And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.
His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain,
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.
Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave,
So puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. oh!
One of the best lines I think is from "Witchita Lineman" by Glenn Campbell.
"and I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time"

What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you,

Black Francis (the pixies)

Johnny Cash - Hurt.
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything
What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here
What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way
This was played at my best mate's funeral last month. I can't listen to it anymore without my heart breaking
For all the moralists and nanny-staters out there, the verse that we should leave ringing in their ears is from the Sex Pistols "Pretty Vacant" ;
"Stop you're cheap comments - 'cos we know what we feel "
hmmmm very interesting.... *searches old records* I propose "Nothing" by "A":
Nothing
And nothing's where you're at
When you ain't got something
You'll never get it back
It's coming on like a drug
The universal power of one
But it don't mean nothing
If it all comes undone (uh-huh)
Fly away
If you fly away
You might die today
If you fly
Fly
Gimme some love
Gimme some skin
If we ain't got that then we ain't got much
And we ain't got nothing
love you like a fatkid loves cake

A line I like is from Blur's Villa Rosie - "Practice doesn't make perfect when you're interbreeding."
Quote by The Beegees
I couldnt figure why
You couldnt give me what everybody needs
I shouldnt let you kick me when Im down
My baby
I find out everybody know that
Youve been using me
Im surprised you
Let me stay around you
One day Im gonna lift the cover
And look inside your heart
We gotta level before we go
And tear this love apart

From 'Hotel California' by The Eagles:
"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave"
Also by The Eagles, and a description of my ideal woman:
"I've been searching for the daughter of the Devil himself, I've been searching for an Angel in white, I've been looking for a woman who's a little of both, and I can feel her but she's nowhere in sight"
From 'One Of These Nights'
As the things we want get closer
I feel the things we need slipping away

"You're so pretty when you're unfaithful to me"
