Sometimes work and lifestyle causes us to miss out on that all important sunshine that everyone else seems to be enjoying. For others the sun and the heat just isn't so much fun. However the sun supplies us with vitamin D, essential for the absorbtion of calcium, and other minerals from our diet.
If you don't get to bask in sunshine don't fret, there is another way, and you don't need any sun screen. Simply go to your food store and take your everyday mushrooms and place them in direct sunlight. After an hour in the sun your mushrooms are now packed with vitamin D, and you can eat them anyway you like, you cannot cook the vitamin D out of them. So if you can't enjoy the sun, then at least enjoy your mushrooms ;).

Leave them outside, since UVB doesn't pass through glass.
To increase absorption, place them gills up. Or slice them to increase surface area exposed to the sun.
