I would just like to point out to you that no matter how much money you have, you can't buy Class. The comedy continues....
Last night showed the true standing of the two Manchester Clubs:
One, celebrating another league tiitle and with a mechanism in place to continue stability and longevity.
The other, completely in disarray and embarrassment after losing the FA Cup to a team that cost about 1/50 of what the City team cost and once again without a Manager after the worst kept secret in English football.
For once I'm in total agreement with you on a football related topic, although it remains to be seen as to whether David Moyes can sustain Sir Alex's success and therefore continued stability within the club.
well....all depends...I do feel slightly sorry for Mancini..as he has brought success to a club that had previously been starved. However the owners quite rightly have stated that at the start of the season the management and the owners agreed targets.
1...to retain the premier league title
They have finished in reality a very poor second
2...to get to the quarter finals of the champions league
They never even got out of the group stages
3...to win either the league or FA cup
They won neither.
The owners never failed to finance transfers. I guess like in any job, if you fail to achieve the agreed targets and goals you can expect to pay the price.
Now quite rightly you talk about the stability of Manchester United. Alex Ferguson was 7 seasons before he brought any silverware to the table. However these are different times. You not going to tell me that they will allow David Moyes to have that length of time to settle in.....I think not.
I am not saying it is correct, but the fact remains, these owners spend a lot of money and they expect some return. The managers know the score, when they take on the position. I do think next season will be very interesting as 3 of the top 4 sides will have new managers !!!
