The headlines from a newspaper report..
THOU SHALL NOT KILL,,,ON A PLAYSTATION..
Well according to the church of England, there should be tougher laws concerning the sales of video games..
They says that young kids that play them are dabbling in a sewer of gratuitous violence and pornography.
So according to the overpaid churchmen,we need tougher laws governing the sales of video games and other entertainment.
Do you think the laws are tough enough as they are now, or do you as a parent think they should be adjusted to make it hard for children to gain access to video games?.
Well as i say it was an article i saw in the local paper,so i thought something that would have a lively debate about ...

I think the laws are already tough enough, it is the people who disregard those laws that are to blame, and they are?....the parents!
There are clearly age clarifications on all games, depicting the age of people that should play them. As has already been stated, no point putting 18 on a game and then a tosser parent buys it for their nine year old. Just like my tosser of a next door neighbour did when buying Vice City for his ten year old, and used to the shit cop out..." it's only a game ". Bollox is it, not to a ten year old that is watching extreme violence and prostitution. Maybe parents should have to sign a form stating an 18 game is only for adult viewing and if caught letting a child play them then a heavy fine, maybe then I may well have thought about grassing him up. Then he wonders why his kid is a typical little lout.

That is true for some of that content being shown to a child.

Dont know about being overpaid, but as already said not tougher laws needed, but parents being proper parents and not tosser ones!

Sadly, in my day the "sewer of gratuitous violence and pornography" was not so readily available.
However, Benny Hill was always there to save the day!

Sadly some children, mainly boys of lower intelligence, are wrongly influenced by video games, but then again they were previously inspired to violence by comics and Punch and Judy shows, so it's really a long term ongoing problem.
Incidently, I have seen no evidence that churchmen (and women) are overpaid.

the very fact that they are paid, would suggest that they are indeed overpaid

Now that's another issue (might almost be worth starting a new thread) - should clergy be professional or do it as a hobby whilst receiving a salary from another paid job? In fact of course many are part time paid and "two job" people anyway.
