We know what speed cameras are there for, and as for cowboy clampers....... :twisted:
It is about time the motorist is not held accountable for everything that goes wrong today.
If nothing else and just on this issue alone, my X has been more than worth it.
Lets hope they ban speed cameras for good like they have already done in Swindon.

Finally, I would hope we are adult enough to recognise a joke (no matter how barbed) when we see one.

Nah Stagger I didn't direct this at anyone specifically. I guess i just see a guy as one of the big debate makers and thought provokers on the forum and I give him a lot of credit for that. I am probably, in fact i know i am, diametrically opposed to a lot of his opinions on things politically, socially & morally but his tenacity in remaining unconvinced with others arguements at least proves he has conviction of his own arguements along with the evidence he sees and as he sees it, and he is willing to stand by them.
Maybe it is those that argue relentlessly against his ideals are the ones who don't have good enough arguements to convince him likewise. It does feel whilst reading through that there is a concerted effort and at times a gleeful jumping onto a thread just to point out again and again. Hey, I'm not saying its wrong to debate but in the style of debate would be nice.
OK, I realise that there is also the other side of the coin whereby someone is being, for the sake of a better word, bloody minded. well that person is responsible for looking to their own perspicacity and if on doing so cannot reasonably see a reason to change their mind then again, is it a fault of their understanding because if it is and that is what another is assuming then thats a dangerous road, judging people individual intellectual ability, to go down. In this case after giving over of what one would think of reasoned arguement and having others agree or disagree then a point is reached at which it becomes more of a haranguing. At this point where things fall down again on the one hand you've got a guy sticking to his arguement and on the other you have others trying to disprove then getting frustrated and resulting in clever arsed slating of someone unconvinced by the arguments laid down.

i`ve not been here long but i didn`t have to be to realize that when arguments where in danger of being lost or subjects a little close to home then some people would work towards getting threads locked
