Where is everyone

How many people are actually logged on to SH at any one time ?
1420hrs, The home screen shows 5 people (hidden, 0; visible 4; guests 1, but there are 620 people in the chatroom . . so how do they get onto the SH ?

There's nobody really, it`s just us folk in the office pretending to be members lol

As opposed to us members sitting in their office pretending to work ! :smile:

Some people login via the desktop chat and sorta circumvent being shown as online via the bottom of the forums and I think also if you login to the site and then faf on your profile, check mail, perv pics/vids/profiles read the forums etc it will show you on the online list for a time and when/if you mess off into the chatrooms your name will drop from the online list after a short amount of time, if you return to the forums your name will reappear.
Of course if you're profile for the forums is set to 'hidden' your name wont show to other members via the online list.
Also, when viewing a profile you might see their Site Location may be 'browsing' or 'chatroom'
or other such stuff but I've found it's not an exact science and whilst it may show you as browsing you might not be doing so.

MrsG has the disavantage of working in a general office and we suspect more than a few eyebrows would be raised if her machine was overlooked with this site running. {Was going to put up a suggestion to be able to pick different signatures or differnt avatars so couples can clearly post with their own stamp ?}
& Neil, yes you are right,actually think it was three posts in six years and 9 in the last week but for all intensive purposes we are noobs. We are very sorry for spoiling the status quo but every now and then a lurking couple will come out of that darkened corner of the site and try and talk to people . . . so be nice to us, we are still a little bit timid and easily frightened but are here to join in and make friends if you will have us.

Not just big Rob, though they are big, yeah. Sharp too. Wilkinson Sword have got nothing on these bad boys, could have your face off with 'em if I wanted. Probably wouldn't even know I'd done anything to you till the whole thing just slid off yer 'ead.
