If you wanna start the thread again and let people air their views on the topic and not on each other I can't see a reason why you shouldn't (I may even be able to dig out your start post. PM me if you want it ;) ).

I have not had any explanation to mine other than a comment saying..because of peoples behavior.
My own personnel opinion is I believe it is being over moderated of late.
I now expect a wrath of replies saying different but....I am allowed an opinion as a member on this site and that is what I believe to be happening over about the last 12 months or so.
I await the usual.

Sometimes seems to me that the AUP as applied to the forums is so broadly interpreted that you can get away with just about anything of late, in Current Affairs at least? Moderation is IMO about as loose as you can get on an internet forum, to the point where I sometimes wonder how I've got away with stuff, never mind the more obvious candidates? ;)N x x x ;).

I shall put myself then amongst that category.
It seems to go in fits and starts Neil, which I maybe should have been a bit more precise about.
What is accepted one month is not accepted the next.
Of course there have been times when I have read something that I think would have got a ban, then the thread just vanishes....that never used to happen it was purely locked.
I did say it was only my opinion and have to be honest Neil, If I in particular said today was Sunday, some muppet on here would say it was Monday.
It is Sunday today.....isn't it? :twisted:

True. Locking a thread though leaves breaches of the AUP visible for all to see, and they'd probably have to hand out a ban. I think what's happening at the minute though is that instead of banning those who can't moderate their use of language, the mods sometimes step in to save such members from themselves. Apparently they'll even edit posts for you these days? ;)
