i did see this
just goes to show you really couldn`t trust labour with your taxes and just how serious they took looking after our country :upset:
So this was obviously right then....but more importantly was no joke.
It was a joke ffs just like the torys' parting gift to Labour....The millenium dome.
Of course the papers are going to misrepresent it that's what they do.
*Looks for head in hands emoticon*
"He said he did not know which departments had asked for the letters but they would become public in due course."
I'll tell you ....defence. They commissioned several new destroyers and a couple of subs...just what the right wanted...oh the irony
Hopefully if all this can be shown to have been wilful then the said ex ministers should be up in court charged with neglect of office or whatever they call it.
And what about the letter left saying Labour have spent all the money.
Everyone suffers in a spending-cuts government.
Loads of IT projects cancelled (but still have payments to be made on them)
Loads more road improvements cancelled (but still have penalty payments to make...)
Front-line public services ringfenced, but loads of PFI hospital (etc) projects to be re-negotiated (penalties etc)
Loads of workers soon to be non-workers, but since benefits are going to be made conditional on community projects undertaken there will soon be a raft of people who CURRENTLY do the work unemployed...
Noted that this government is to make receipt of incapacity benefit conditional on a medical assessment.....incapacity benefit was renamed Employment Support Allowance several years ago, and hence no longer exists (as such) and the medical assessments have been going-on for 3 years now...those rated as disabled will not be assessed anyway...
IR35 to be reformed.....so loads of workers who currently cannot be self-employed will qualify for self-employment soon..
Etc..
Lets look at what history teaches us shall we do not learn from it we are bound to repeat it.
Do people "north of London" matter ?
