Hi,Although flying off to the sun is great, it is often just a yearly thing for lots of folk. So, are there any Morfa Dyffryn beach regulars here? I like to get over there for a few days as often as possible, both weekends & midweek. It would be great to be able to meet up with others, both socialy & for fun. As someone who respects all others and does not aproach unless invited, it would be nice to be able to get to know folk who do go regularly or even those who wish to go as a one-off and would like to know there is someone they can meet there for a chat (or whatever, lol). Just a thought, as like I say, Morfa can be more regularly accessable for lots of folk, as opposed to the once yearly flight to the sun. For those not familiar with Morfa, it is a great nudist beach on the west coast of wales, about 6 miles north of Barmouth, it is a huge beach with safe bathing and lots of dunes for fun if that is what you are looking for. There are also a good few campsites nearby. The main beach is used by families, so care & respect is needed (not that it should not be anywhere else). Most fun seems to occur from late afternoon & into the evening (weather permitting) and is kept to the dunes, though I have witnessed some cpls having fun on the beach late on. We try to go as much as possible, weather and work permitting. We stay at a b & b in Barmouth and are happy to meet up with all folks, couples and singles alike. Hi, Please accept my apologies for lack of response to you good folk, an unforeseen family emergency meant I had to go away at very short notice. Thank you Mick & Teresa for your lovely message (I have sent you a reply) and thank you also to Liz & Paul. I now expect to be going over to Morfa around the last week in June and then on several occasions throughout July, Aug & September. I will more than likely be staying on the smaller of the campsites near bye (the one with the naturist section). Yes it would be very nice indeed to say hi to anyone else who happens to be there at the same time, either for drinikies or fun. I never assume anything and am always happy to meet folk socially, anything else is considered a bonus. Happy times everyone.
Hopefully, next weekend, if the sun decides to show again, lol. otherwise first weekend with good weather and as often as possible thereafter. I will post when certain of going and if anyone else is going same time and would like to meet-up, even if only to say "Hi" and maybe share a brew n a chat, feel free to pm, always nice to meet new folk. Oh well, Looks like this weekend (21st) is not going to happen, hope the weather holds out for anyone else going, but an outbreak of building work on my extension means I am going to be stuck here for this weekend and probably most of next week. Oh well, suppose the more I get done now, the more of (hopefully) the best of the summer will be Free-Time! Well I'm heading to Morfa Dyffryn imminently, arriving on the beach for a swift afternoon of R & R around tomorrow, then staying in the area and spending Weds and Thurs all day in and around the dunes. Yes, I know rain is forecast for Wednesday, but I have a cunning plan........I shall be taking a fishing shelter with me just in case I need to do some serious hiding from the elements! I may even try kite flying for the first time in years! If any SH members see me and my shelter in the dunes, why not 'swing' by and say hello.
