Thinking of going to Cap D Agde can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay in.

If you want a "hotel" there are two. Hotel Eve and Hotel Oz, neither cheap, Oz being the most up-market.
But most people stay in apartments, or you could stay in Garden of Babylon which is like sort of in between a hotel and apartments.
When are you thinking of going ? As from now till end of Aug is high season when it might be difficult to get acomodation. The fun goes on till late Sept tho.

We were thinking about the last two weeks in September but have seen some reviews saying a lot of places are shut by then

Last two weeks of Sept will def. be a bit quieter !! First two weeks is great, but then a lot of places will be preparing to put the shutters up, but it won't be dead. If you could go earlier in the month it would certainly be more busy. The foam parties will still be on in early Sept. One advantage about going in Sept is that the shops have the sales on regarding lingerie and shoes.

Weve just got back after a great week, we always stay in apartments usually through Anne & David James agency, but we also stayed in Natureva Spa this time, booked via Expedia, have to say it wasn't bad and much cheaper than Oz inn (same owners). Apprtment was well laid out and had everything you need including a courtesy pack of wasking liquid, sponge, dish cloth and bin bags, hand to get you started. We return 1st week in Sept which is bike week, several rock bands and Harley evens if you like that smile

As the Geordiecpl explained most places start shutting up Mid Sept with some closing parties, so would advise first 2 weeks.
