La mirage in Gran Canaria is being advertised as exclusive to Thomson Holidays on their website Summer 2010...plus its being stated that accomodation is for same sex GAY couples ONLY!!They have called the complex "Freedom" if anybody wants to check it up..Mandy says its a misprint but i have been on website and Thomson are taking bookings for Gays only so please what the f..kk is happening????Dont wanna book flights n find no accomodation!!all responses welcome xxxx

The "La Mirage" website seems to be down now - looks rather dodgy!
Any recent feedback on this? Our visit is getting close now and we are just trying to trust that everything is ok like we have been told. Still on Thomson website though. It's taking a very long time to be removed. I'm sure it will all be fine though and La Mirage will still be there... I hope x

Well we are there in April so we also hoping its not going gay
Plus we know loads of others who are going at same time who wont be to happy eithert
We heard it turns gay from !st May so remains to be seen
Shame if it does as we love the place so much and we wanna book again later in the year

we are supposed to be booking up for sometime in july ( discussions about this with the resort manager mandy have already taken place via email and not once has she mentioned the resort is going gay on may 1st )
therefore this thread has us a bit copncerned so much so mr H put on his inspector gadget hat last night and googled freedom bungalows maspalomas and it deffo looks like no mistake on just the thomson website but a targeted marketing campaign towards gay holidaymakers,the bungalows are advertised on several gay travel websites both here in the uk and in the likes of germany etc google for yourself to see
we have nothing against gays whatsoever and would quite happily holiday alongside them but we feel they may be more pissed off than us to find swingers in attendance on their gay exclusive holiday as that is how the bungalows are advertised,i can see this causing friction at the resort if they start to mix the clientele
anyone with first hand knowledge of exactly what is happening with this resort please let us know and put our minds at rest before we book for july,thankyou
