Honestly, I'm doing everything I can to get the time off, but the Manager, (who incidently is one of the most glorious pr!cks I've ever had the misfortune to work for) is being a complete ass hat about it..
I've tried the old 'Family Emergency' thing, Told him I would work extra to cover the time I was losing.. But according to him he's 'not allowed' to sanction any time off for staff until next month.
Tell you what, if my space hasn't been filled yet let me work on him till the weekend, and will let you know for certain if it's a yay or nae by Sat..
Really was looking forward to sharing a drink with you all down there as well. :cry:

I have just got the hotel booked! Double room, so Blonde, if the two of you are still struggling with accom, you're both welcome. It is supposed to be a 10 min walk from xxxxxxxxx so hope i'm not too far away from the venue! I will be in Glasgow for about 12 noon on the day and so, if anyone fancies meeting up for a drink or two give me a PM, although I will have to go and get changed into my kilt later!

I've only just joined this site myself so had until now very much refrained from posting anything in this particular thread given I've not been around nearly long enough (more like a couple of days), but it did occur to me if there's anyone out there who's either coming up and wants a tourist guide of sorts (social circumstances still depending, but here's hoping), I might be available, although I gather from the rules actual attendance is unfortunately out of the question for me just yet sad

Oh yeah - and if you're a local female in a similar position (ie new to the site, can't attend due to newness or other circumstances), it'd be nice to chat to someone in real life who's more familiar with these kinds of things than I am. It's worth reiterating I'm ... pretty cool, actually.

Humblest apologies folks, for various reasons, including copyright issues and a hiccup with our regular supplier of badge holders, I'm having to start from scratch with a new design. The familiar "Munch Bunch" badge is, at least for the time being, unusable.
You will all get your names and avatar pictures printed on your badges as promised, but I'm afraid I won't have time to do any of the usual special requests for Munch Virgins, Munch Whores, people with birthdays, anniversaries etc. Could I therefore ask you please not to PM me with any more "non-standard" requests?
I expect this to be a temporary setback and I hope normal service will be resumed by the time we get to Wigwam. smile
