I've missed this thread for a few days cause I thought it was an old post from last year! May I humbly suggest that with such a faraway date you add the year!
November! I don't know what I am doing past early July (that's if Central Scotland still exists after G8)! rolleyes
I'm just getting into the site, so I am not inclined to ask to join in just yet, but as indicated, I have no idea at this time how my November will be and such is my work, that is likely to continue.
Do you usually require so much notice for a Munch invite request?
Morjam
It will depend on what happens with my Course as I might not get a bursary so I might not be able to make it....
But stick my name down and I will do my very best.....
BTW for those coming from London, I have checked out the fares with RyanAir and you can get a fare for £43 return which isn't at all bad biggrin
no problem Helen smile
consider yourself added

Hey up Big Fella.... I may just buy my kilt early now, and get myself a picture done....
Right of to Ebay to see what's on offer..... still undecided between a "modern" black one or a proper tartan...

I would plump for the auld Tartan postie.. You should be able to get a cheap one off ebay, or a good ex-rental from a local hire shop for peanuts.

Thanks - but I already had; it doesn't answer my question.
I can't plan that far ahead, because of work. All I would like to know, or have as an indication, is whether or not Munchies are usually planned so far in advance as this one is; because by the time I get to know if I can make a Munchie (I appreciate that I would need to be accepted 1st), would it not be full? If you were asking about August, I could probably pin down that far ahead, but November! No way!
The response I'm expecting is essentially one of the following; "Yes we do, sorry",or "No we don't, this is unusual", or "Well, it varies, so sometimes yes, sometimes no, on this occasion yes."
If "yes...", I'll never make it to one, if "No..." then I probably would make a future one, if "...it varies..." then I might get to some! I hope you see why I am asking; I would rather know now than waste time later, yours and mine.

I can't plan that far ahead because of work either, but it doesn't stop me getting to know people. In fact, there's people on this site that I speak to but will probably never have a chance to meet, doesn't mean I am wasting their time or mine by chatting to them.
In response to your question, it does vary.

Munches are usually planned out a quite a bit before the night. Reason being ? there is a lot of organising to do !
If you look at the lets meet up you will notice there are events on up until Dec this year.
Lucy
Morjam.... erm.... nearer the date, when you have an idea of what you are doing, ask to go.... simple.
Oh well still hoping for and invite but if we not invited morjam maybe we can meet up anyway?..lol..
Hi Lucy
I know we are newbies but we would luv to come to the scottish munch pls pls will you think about it
Ta Muchly
Bunnies kiss
Hmmm
I'm gonna have to see how it goes. I'm not likely to (ask to) attend any munchies outside Scotland. I can appreciate that there will be organising to do; which would mean asking when I know if I can make it would be too late (Ahem, NB Postie).
It may simply be my misfortune that I may miss out on most opportunities to join in. C'est la vie, but at least I have some idea now.
Thanx for that.
oooooohhh can we come missed last one, plenty of time to organise work and baby-sitters
