As a result of extreme pressure from lucyweebaps and tatty...as well as the promise of a beer in the horeshoe bar and a bum smacking.......i would like to come to your munch and enjoy scottish hospitality!!!

I think its probably best not to publicly post an attendees list - simply to ensure that nobody's name is used by anyone not invited to the munch. A list could be PM'd to those attending upon request.
Good idea, JD. I don't know if a list has ever been abused but it seems a nice enough courtesy to anyone feeling sensitive about the possibility - having available as a PM is helpful too though (if not too much admin for Lucy) - I am so poor at remembering names, so if I skim through the names of peeps going a few times beforehand it gets my brain a bit more in sync when I'm introduced.

im with lucy dont mnd the list being on the thread as even if they know whose going the possible chancers wont be able to find the munch if the dont know where it is exactly P
surley a way to stop them which is simpler for lucy is when we confirm we give our real names coz i might be comfortable using heaysyandck at a door but think of someothers having to use thier screen name in public might be a little embaresing

i dont think it would be a problem having the list on the thread, as a post above said, they wont know the venue, also ... how many munches have ther been all over the uk, without a problem over posting names??? id have a damn good guess at almost all of them went without a hitch...
but thats not why im posting...
Lucy, will there be any possibilities of the new SH pins being available at the scottish munch? its no probs if not, i can ask one of the others to post me a couple up.

I think it's kinda nice to get the names list one way or another for lots of reasons. Real names are nice if peeps want to give them, but SH names are cool too - easy to remember and there's the option of looking thru a person's past posts to 'get to know them a bit' before meeting which is really nice.

Well i'm going to book my digs tomorrow. I'll try and get as close to the hotel thats top of the list that Lucy sent me , i'm sure that there will be plenty of taxi's around to take me to and from the party lol. I'm going to be there on the friday evening till sunday morning ( travelling kills my back so i'll need the rest before the munch lol ).
Lucy i've to get an x-ray on my right ankle , might have to have surgery on the tendon so if i'm going to be unable to walk i'll let you know to take me off , but knowing the nhs it'll be next year before anything gets done lol.

hey anothner annoying local newbie who has read the whole thread and going to ask any way if there is any chance of making the reserve list,yes im single yes im a guy,yes im probably kinda young at 24 but remember that 24 and24 is 48 so you justy need to get two of us, any way if you dont ask you dont get and if you do ask sometimes you still dont get,oh well life rolls on. :cry:

Just had my ankle X-ray'd and there's a reason for my ligament never healing up ....... its called having a broke bone in there !!!!!!!!!!!!! yup 2 bits of bone floating about underneath my ligament annoying it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! and me into the bargain lol.
So plans now are for the doc to refer me for an operation so that'll be Xmas at the earliest if i'm lucky lol.

I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure an earlier munch (possibly in Leicester ???) had a few problems with uninvited people using names from a publicised list. Happy to go with whatever is decided :)Only the ones on the list will know where the venue is JD ..as you will be aware the details go out 10 days or so before the munch and only to the invited !!
under no circumstance should the venue details be discussed in open forum or the chatroom !!
