Hi,been using the site for over a year now but obviously not very well, in touch with a few people through the ads but only just that does not necessarily proclude me from the Munch as it sounds like great fun.I shall be using the site more to its full potential from now so hope I might stand a chance of an 's ,John xxx
But does anyone ever meet anyone other than at a munch ?
I have been replying to adds etc but all i have encountered is timewasters and dodgy adverts for other web sites when I reply.
I admit that i have not had the time recently to fully participate in this forum but i have been watching and reading and don't see much activity of meetings being arranged other than perhaps the munch.
Am i missing something or maybe simply socially inept?
I am not trying to be a mr grumpy, just kind off losing faith i guess

The answer to your question may lie in that last paragraph!!
Yes people do meet outwith munches and on a frequent basis. There is a huge social circle "behind the scenes" as it were with a lot of people conversing outwith the public glare of the forum be it via PM, email, MSN or good old phone calls.
Just because it's not visible to all doesn't mean it doesn't go on. I'd of thought that reading between the lines of some of the posts, threads and replies it would be quite clear that there is a great deal going on.
That's our experience anyway, hope it helps restore some of your faith

as you are new to the forum , can anyone vouch for you ? if not .. I would say stick around for a while, when I see you are activley using the site I will consider adding you to the list at a later date.. November is a good bit off this will give you plenty time

Now, I have been thinking about this.... I would say long and hard, but i daren't, so here's my conclusion regarding the skirt / kilts thingy...
If it's worn by a scotsman,it's a kilt.
If you are refering to an item worn by a scotsman that looks like a tartan skirt,it's a kilt.
If you are refering to an item being worn by an Englishman that looks like a tartan skirt worn by a Scotsman ,then it's still a kilt.
If you are an Englishman, dressing up in a item that looks like a tartan skirt that would be worn by a Scotsman, then you are wearing a skirt.
It's all a bit "Carry on up the Khyber".... but I think the 1st Battalion of the English Skirt Brigade( the Sassenachs) has a nice ring to it...
and we wouldn't want to offend any of our SH brothers in the land of the Scots who are really wearing Kilts... (especially if it's chunky_love!!! )
