Not long to go now, can i get excited yet? lol

Anyone that wants a lift between skegness and camp,we have room for 2 possibly 3 people in our MPV and now have satnav so shouldnt get too lost redface

Hey Pete

when you do get back online, could you confirm if we are allowed to bring those little gas burners to make a brew in the morning?
Also - I have my name down for helping with the cooking, but I'm more enthusiasm than ability - so you will need to show me how to do everything, (Ive seen on your pics that you're an old hand at it lol

spoke to Pete yesturday poor guy has been out of the loop, hes going to post somethig when he has contacted Velvet.
I'm planning to make a pot of chilli (I like my fairly spicey) for Friday night, and he mentioned others bringing food as well. I realise its going to be short notice but think we need to let him get sorted before we can finalise detail :thumbup:
I have not got a tent as yet as want to buy a proper one but dont have the money, might go and get a cheapy one unless anyone has room for me.
Drew I would suggest bring what you feel happy with, we have the luxury of driving to get our booze but but I'm sure there will be a couple of runs to get top ups.

Lame excuse for a bump....but.....
If theres a pot of chilli on the go- it might be an idea to invest in a few jars of Raita to cool it down for anyone who doesn't like it hot! :thumbup:
Gas burners should be fine- I've never known a campite that would have a problem with them!

Hi again people wave

OK, I have just contacted the site, it turns out that our booking was never confirmed so some of the spaces have been let, there is now room for 20 small tents only, same cooking rules as before.
They have agreed to give us a members rate of per person per night, they also need to know the exact number of people attending asap.
Unfortunately I cannot cover the cost of this or I would have gone ahead and booked today, as it is so late in the day they require the full cost to be paid with the booking.
I have a dilemma here as one of our kind members did offer us the use of a private field, but I forgot to save the PM and have now forgotten who it was. Personally I would prefer to take them up on their offer so guys, if you are reading this, is the field still available? Please contact me asap.
If we still want to go ahead with the original site then I need everyone who’s coming either to send me your money tomorrow at the latest, or alternatively contact the site direct and pay them yourselves, please please let me know what you intend to do at the earliest opp though so that I can get things organised this end.
I do apologise for this last minute panic and I do bear full responsibility as I did kind of land Velvet in it and have not been around much to be contacted. With luck and a little help though I’m sure we can still pull the coals out and have a great weekend.
Time is of the essence here so please peeps let me know what u intend to do as quickly as possible what you intend to do :thumbup:

hi pete sorry ive not been on line for a while been doing battle with a few deamons not sure if im winning or not :shock:
i see from your post there is only places for 20 small tents & 25 people on the list!! seeing as im only able to make the fri night i would be happy to be moved to the bottom of said list to let the people who are there for the weekend have first dibs on spaces smile

im also a little unsure about staying the night at the moment ie when the booze starts flowing confused

i would still be more than happy to lend a hand with any setting up you may want to do im not too far away & have transport & a strong-ish back lol

Were not quite sure what to do at the moment as its so late in the day, we have a fear that we will end up driving 3-4hrs and it only being us there :shock:
Were gonna sleep on it and decide what to do tommorow and maybe there will be some more info to work with.
If there is anything i can do to help, just let me know as would be a shame for it all to fall thro at this late stage.
