Sadly I can't make the BBQ - but if this is the only thing standing in your way, let me know and I'll call them for you and you can post me the money.
Pete - I am gutted to say that I am going to pull out and let someone else take my place.
I have got flu, and unless I make a miraculous recovery by Friday morning, I would be cancelling on Thursday - so better to cancel now and let someone else go.
As I say, I'm gutted as I was really looking forward to it.
Sassy, could you pm me with details about your fundraising, as I definitely want to contribute.

Just to offer a bit of reassurance- keep the faith! It is still going ahead- coz I say so! And you will all have a stonking good time. I think Pete was looking for some guidance as to what people wanted to do.
If the owner of the private field has been in touch, it would have the advantage of being just that- private. However, the initial campsite does have such luxuries as toilets that you don't have to dig yourself
Given the recent updates, I cant see the limit of 20 small tents being too much of a problem. Thanks to everyone for their offers of support- Pete needs them right now.

Does anyone know where we are camping yet? as we may have a problem. Russ has got a appointment thro for friday,hes been waiting for this appointment for month's and cant afford to miss it, but its for ! and will take about a hour. After checking the route with tomtom it seems i under estimated the driving time 
and its gonna take us approx 5hrs to get there,which means a E.T.A now of around :shock: the camp site i have the details for will only allow arrivals after 8pm if agreed with site owners in advance....so if we are gonna be able to make this i realy need to know
A) that i have the right camp site details.
B) Where we are camping and if we need to give any group details when booking.
So that i can see if they will allow our arrival B is russ is going to phone them tommorow to see if he can change the appointment but were not holding our breath as the NHS waiting list for this service is currently 6 months!
Still got my fingers crossed for this one!

Hi everyone 
Well after running around the countryside like a headless chicken for the past 2 days I think I have pulled the rabbit out of the hat.
I have found a new site which in my opinion may suit our purposes better, it’s a family run site (very nice friendly people) very relaxed attitude, the setting is idyllic, the (brand new) toilet, shower, washing facilities are positively luxurious, they are not too worried about numbers or tent size, and we can have individual bbq’s / gas cooking outside our tents, the only request is that we do not scorch the grass.
The field we have been allocated is very secluded but boasts some wonderful views.
I am now in the process of compiling PM’s to everyone with the full details so please be patient, I should have gotten to all of you by this evening.

NOT SO any member of this site and thier spouse / partners were, and still are welcome, this is a social event and the whole point is for everyone to have a bloody good time. No-one has been deliberatly excluded, if any of you have heard or feel differently, please PM me and we can discuss it.

Just in case I've inadvertantly caused any kefuffle.....
(reading between the lines) I was msn'ing to Pete as he found out the problem with the campsite. Later that night, when Pete was out, I took it upon myself to start PM'ing people- simply to make as many peeps aware as I could. NOw, as it was late, I'd had a really shit day/week/month/year......and a little bit to drink, my methods were less than methodical
So if anyone wasn't given the heads up- spank me!
