OK i have just had a chat with our camping organiser, due to some personal family problems pete wont be around for a little while, so i'm gonna give you the latest update. For the forseeable future please pm me with any questions!
The "site" is provisionally booked for 50 pitches for Friday 15th and Sat 16th June (2 nights). Please unless sharing no HUGE tents and no caravans!
The site is adjacent to a larger camping site and we will have use of all facilityes (running water, toilets etc :bounce: ).
There are a couple of important notices with regards to the site.
Due to the number of guests/tents it has been necessary to agree with the owners that we will form a Cooking area, so no cooking directly outside tents, but in a communal area set aside.
Again due to the nature of the site there can only be a maximum of 20 cars to be parked on the site. So where possible can people arrange to travel in groups, by train or to arrange a lift if parking in the nearby town.
Campfires on the ground are not allowed BUT we are allowed to build pseudo fires in old oil drums for example, just so long as they are raised on bricks and dont scorch the ground.
The site promises to be very beautiful, in the heart of wiltshire and right next to some beautiful ruins (perfect for the pagan theme).
Please can everyone post whether they would still like to attend or not?
Any suggestions on how to organise the transport?
Pete mentioned organising some activities for during the day - so were not drunk all the time.
suggestions so far have been:
Treasure hunt in the car - with teams!
slave auction - with proceeds to charity
any others?

Ok, sorry yet again for being AWOL, I wont go into it in public but have a lot of stuff going on which I hope will be resolved soon, those that know, I thank you for all the lovely support
That said , with the incredible help of Velvet,
I am determined that this meet will go ahead, and that we will have the most amazing weekend

As you now know there are certain restrictions on numbers due to the fact that there are only so many pitches, and so many parking spaces. This can easily be resolved however as there is no restriction on the number of people, as this is a caring / ’SHARING’ community, I’m sure things can be worked out :rascal:
It is tents only on the party field, but caravans / Campers are allowed on the main campsite, but you will have to book separately for that.
All those who have asked to be added to the list will be added but please read the above.
I think the best way to move this thing forward is if everyone who is “CERTAIN” that they will be attending, please PM or e-mail Velvet (god she’s gorgeous, swoon, ahem, sorry.) so that we can now start a ‘I / we are definitely coming’ list.
To stop her getting overwhelmed, if you have any general enquiries, PM them to me and I’ll do my best to answer as quickly as I can.
All those early offers of assistance would come in really handy now, so if you were serious please get in touch because now is the time we could really use your help.
For instance I was thinking that a few of the girls could get together for a shopping trip to purchase the food so that we don’t end up with everyone bringing nowt but sausages, or whatever
you know what I mean maybe we could start a bbq fund, everyone chip in and then send a posse to go shop kinda thing?

Knowing what an inventive, “lets pull it together” bunch of people you all are, I’m relying on you all to make this the biggest bestest festival style shindig this county has ever seen and I thank you all now for the efforts I just know you’re going to make.
