Advice what other women wear attending social

Hoping to attend our first social towards the end of this month. I’m 55 and don’t want to appear underdressed or overdressed. My husband and I are excited but can you tell me what dress code is the “norm” at such events x

The venue you are attending will help decide, if its open to the general public, then you can dress sexy but conservatively, if its a private venue then you can dress a little more risque. End of the day it should be what you feel comfortable in. If unsure, you cannot go wrong with smart and casualuntil you get your confidence and sure of your surroundings.

I’m comfortable with even being naked, but as I said I don’t want to appear over dressed/reserved but equally don’t want to be naked givothe wrong impression. Does anyone have any photos of what most women wear

Generally speaking people don't take pics at socials (they tend not to be allowed) it might help if you said which social and the people who go to that one can probably advise you best.

and maybe layers, so you can remove clothes until you reach the correct level
