Have been using this site for some time now, it is one of the best around. One slight critcism is that there would appear to be quite a lot of ageism on here. I am just 60 y/o very actively sexually with my wife and we are trying to meet similar age people. I'd have more luck finding rocking horse sh*t.

To me age is a number and that is all.
To me attitude and personallity are more important.
However having said that I would not 'play' with anyone under the age of 30.

Ive got to add though that your profile Hertsman only really states that it is you that is looking for someone, there aren't any pics of your wife, nor is there anything on the profile about her.........
which to me reads like just another married man looking for a little extra?

we've found that now we're 50 we're acting and behaving as if we're 30 lol. for sexy fun, age doesn't matter too much - but for converstion, people around tour own age (10 years either side) would make talking a lot easier we'd have thought.
however, just to prove us wrong - we had a great time and a chat with a bloke at the club the other night!

where as some wouldn't play with people young enough to be their kids...there are also some who won't play with people old enough to be their parents!

Im sure if you did a survey of all the members on SH the average age would be people in their early 40's.
There are very few couples in their 20's and 30's but as you said people are allowed to have preferences.
But what happens when all the couples have met everyone in their age bracket, do they give up swinging or widen their age limits confused :?
I'm glad I'm way to old to be swinging and don't have that problem lol wink

I agree, it's definitely not ageism. People are entitled to state their preferences, even though some are a bit too rigid. But then ultmately if people don't get enough interest they broaden their stated age preferences and become a bit more flexible.

Just for the record I would like to state that I have always fancied older women and been searching for ladies with zimmer frames BEFORE my current lean stretch of meets biggrin

I opened a can of worms with this one didn't I. Of course people are entitled to have a preference I'm not disputing that, it was more a rant on my part against some of the people I have meet on here who quite openly and sometime rudely say "sorry but you are too old". I guess I am raging against the fading light and don't like to think that I am now considered "too old". Thanks for all your input I will bear it in mind redface

Sorry, but I am fussy about age, race etc. But at least I clearly set out what I'm looking for & do not waste anyones time if they don't fit into what I am looking for.
I never tell anyone that they are too old or too young, just that they are outside the age range I am looking for. Some people still see this as an insult, but you can't please everyone!! rolleyes smile

I don't see the problem - if (in the days I was actively looking on here) someone said, sorry but you are too old - why would I take offence? I'm 42, I know I'm outside the age that many younger (and some older) folk are looking for.
After all, I've told a few guys on here that they are too young for me, and that's just preference - as I get older, the age range I find attractive gets older too.

Ok can I just clarify one thing. When I originally put my profile on here my wife and I were both looking for friends. Regretably because of the minority of "timewasters" we encountered my wife decided she did no longer wish to be included and I simply forgot to update my profile. This has now been rectified. 69position

Are these other 60 year olds telling you your too old :shock: Your looking for similar age people but are saying that younger people are being ageist. What is it that you actually want confused
