A dlb room? Jeepers I'd have to have one of those just for me and my entourage, there is the valet, the butler, the chambermaid along with my suitcases of clothes, if it's one night I'll have to have at least 5 pairs of shoes/boots and then of course there is the man-friday...and he's well blessed.

The ALL NEW Manchester social is here. It is to be held at an exclusive venue in the centre of Manchester on the 9th May 2015. The date has been coordinated to ensure it is not clashing with any other socials or indeed major events in the Manchester area to ensure that for those of you booking hotels will not be fighting with the event crowds for reservations.
The dress code is smart and the theme for the evening is Suited and Booted, suits for the guys and boots for the gals (so make them as sexy as ya can girls). Of course this is not essential but there will be a prize for the sexiest suit and boots in attendance.
Please note that this a completely free event but as we are all aware there are many time wasters on this site so to compensate for this there is a deposit per person. This will be taken prior to the event and returned to you on the night when you arrive. The deposit will be taken as confirmation of your attendance. Anyone who has confirmed but does not then attend will lose their deposit.
This is a completely new venue for this event and has capacity for 150 people. There is a licensed bar and dance floor in the venue. The details of the venue will be sent out 1 week prior to the event to those who have confirmed only. Those who are attending are asked not to share the venue details with anyone else and only those on the final list will be admitted. The venue is, however, in the heart of Manchester, near Piccadilly. Anyone needing a list of local hotels let me know and I will forward one to you.
Now the boring stuff.
This is a social and all the usual rules apply.
No playing in the venue is permitted.
It is a licensed venue so all drinks must be purchased from the bar.

Although the licensed capacity is for 150 people we feel that 120 is a more reasonable number to ensure that the feel of the venue remains comfortable. Again this is on a first come first served basis.

Ahh OK. I have been known to be a bit thick lol. On the night itself everyone will be offered their deposit back as promised. If anyone chooses to offer it to charity rather than take it then I will of course this ensures this goes to a charity, either St Annes Hospice or Help for Heroes. Lassy xxx

The countdown commences.
Just 6 weeks to go.
After talking to the venue managers, and visiting the venue, they have confirmed that they have extended the venue and increased capacity. Although their new capacity is 200 I think this would be overcrowded for the purpose of a social (perfect for a rave lol) but am revising our limit to 150 and increasing the limit for single guys to 30. Currently there are 92 confirmed guests. I will be mailing all the unconfirmed guests asking them to confirm by April 3rd. If there are still spaces available after this date I will be offering additional places to those on another site who have expressed an interest as they have heard about the event from SH members. A full list of their profile names will be available on our private group forum (only numbers will be reflected on the main forum) although your profile names will not be available to them.
Don’t forget to keep sending your music requests to our DJ pauly2 and I look forward to meeting everyone.
