Thinking of having a midweek party if were allowed and anybody fancy coming, limit it to 4 or 5 couples and a couple of singles, plenty of room to park detached house.

Well nobody but want to use board to advertise.

Use the board to advertise, by all means, but think of what would attract YOU to a party.

Set a date. if you say you're just checking to see if there is any interest but without a date, members may say 'great, we're interested' but then when you set a date later, they cannot make it. So make sure you set a date upfront.

Does anyone know you? You've said you've just come back to the site and your 'vouches' and comments are many years old. Tell others about yourself and why you think they would enjoy a party at your place. What are you laying on? Food? Drinks? Parking? Free condoms? Anything else? Would you go to a party where the host has given very little details about it, other than the general location?

If you still have contact with any local members, perhaps get them involved to help 'sell' your party. If the members who might be interested can see other 'known' members can vouch for you now (as opposed to 9-10 years ago!) and intend going, your party might gain some momentum.

Just some tips that might help. Others may have other ideas - good luck!

I think that if you want to have a party then you need to make it very clear beforehand exactly what kind of party it is going to be so that it attracts the right people with the right expectations.

Whilst you may think that a "full sex with everyone there party" will be a good idea, there are many who are quite inhibited and certainly many married couples who have severe limitations on what they would want to do at a party.

Or you could have a normal party, food, drinks and music to dance. With no obvious sexual activity and having mostly couples ( who can have sex with each other at any time anyway ). During my lifetime I have only ever come across four people who would enjoy a free for all sex party and two of them have already died unexpectedly.

It is also quite risky having a party for people you have not met before. Some trash the place, some steal anything of value and some get into arguments and start fights.

I am an experienced party giver and goer. I must have given nearly 200 parties with over 20 people attending. Most for clubs and groups which is far safer for the host. But since the last 10 years hardly anyone gives any more parties which is such a pity as I enjoy them so much.

Your original posting was probably prompted by Covid aspects. There are no longer any restrictions on private parties that I am aware of.

Most professional party organisers do insist that anyone coming has been double jabbed and bring a copy of their certificate.

They also give an alternative of a PCR test the day before for anyone who has not been vaccinated but I cannot imagine anyone does that because of the high cost.

Most people coming to a party would want to have confidence that everyone there had been vaccinated. But there are still quite a few who are reluctant to go to indoor parties because of the fear of getting covid.

A lateral flow test on the morning of the party is also possible but that is done by the individual and therefore is no proof that it was negative. There are still a few odd people who want to spread Covid to others when they get it.
